I can understand how not extending credit to everyone who asks is the only way to combat racism.

But that's not an economically rational decision.

I call them "deals" because legally and from principles of economics, the things we define as "loans" can be discharged in bankruptcy, while student loans cannot.

I bet if you polled Republicans in the years leading up to 2008, most would say that electing a Black President would help improve race relations in this country.

There isn't a Republican alive in 2026 who believes the 2008 election improved racial tensions.

Meanwhile, these same Republicans say if you just follow police orders everything will work out fine.

When you are committed to being a hater your whole life, at some point that's all you have left.

Basically there's two kinds of people:

I had to suffer, so you should too.
I had to suffer, but you shouldn't.

The former is the root of Conversatism. That nothing should change. The latter is the basis of Empathy.

But not everyone can experience empathy, and not to the same degree. So we pretend it's a political thesis, not an emotional shortcoming, and we call those people "Conservatives."

People were asked to wear masks, to save the lives of not only their family members but also complete strangers. You can guess which group made a virtue of doing it, and which group couldn't even understand the concept of helping complete strangers for nothing tangible to them in return.

Serious question:
Why are judges so ------- gullible and stupid?
Does the law demand it?
Are they just lazy?
