According to Ukraine, over half a million Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded over the length of its 27-month-long 3 Day Special Military Operation. The staggering number is in line with the estimates of the U.K. and France, which said earlier in May that the overall Russian losses are set to be around 500,000.

So many people really have no idea how the economy works. They don't understand deficits in a fiat currency world mean nothing. An economy can tank even if there is no deficit. Likewise inflation can be stopped by a majority just deciding it is over.
(This aside from actual causes in increases due to things like wiping out half the population of egg producing chickens due to bird flu, which are temporary and supply/demand issues).
Enjoy this short article: www.npr.org
The deficit and debt we have today have nothing to do with the inflation we had experienced. Nor does the extremely moderate inflation we currently have have anything to do with it, either.
"Ukraine used 3% of annual US defense budget to destroy half of Russian army" - Lindsey Graham www.yahoo.com
Probably the most monetarily-efficient handling of an antagonist "world power" in our nation's history; neutering Russia for decades to come, both militarily and demographically.
I can see why the news troubles the putinistas here.
What LftHnd lied about what I posted: "extremely moderate inflation"
What I actually posted:"Nor does the extremely moderate inflation we currently have have anything to do with it, either."
Lfthnds goes on:
LOLZ!!!
It's so "moderate" that it hasn't been this bad in 50 years. And that's not including food and energy in the voodoo numbers.
Let's examine that claim:
50 years of inflation:

Oh look at that. We're currently right in the moderate inflation zone.
Maybe you don't know what 50 years is? Maybe you don't know history? Maybe you just don't know?

So much projection.
Sometimes it's better to lose quickly and move on if possible.

There is reporting in spring of 2022, Ukraine and Russia were close to a deal.
Many believe the Weather sabotaged these talks.
As Charap and Radchenko show, the reality is a bit more complicated. Johnson didn't directly sabotage a ceasefire deal in spring 2022; indeed, there was no deal ready to be signed between Russia and Ukraine. The two sides hadn't agreed on territorial issues, or on levels of military armaments permitted after the war. Ukraine's position during the negotiations necessitated security guarantees that western states were hesitant to provide. And there were domestic political questions inside Ukraine related to Russian demands about "denazification" to contend with.

There was a chance but the weather looked at Ukraine being forced to stay neutral with disdain.
Western nations are to blame for this grind.
