Turmp administration is trying to shutter the agency that helps protect Americans from being ripped off by banks, credit card companies and other financial institutions.
Congress created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and no one -- not the President, not Musk, not Vought - can illegally shut down its work.

BTW The government is supposed to be for the benefit of ALL. Not just for a selected few. Just sayin
This agency is there to protect The People from the wealthy.
Who protects the wealthy from the poor?
Arguing against auditing to find waste,
Spending $20M taxpayer funds to attend half a football game.

LMAO!
It's an agency not accountable to the Executive or Legislative branches. It gets funding from the Fed. It's not constitutionally structured.
If I'm wrong about that I'll gladly retract.
You're wrong that how it was created matters to Trump at all. Also Danni's correct. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was created by Congress under Dodd-Frank. You can cry about who it is accountable to, but that is not relevant.Though most agencies are overseen by the Executive, not all are. The CFPB is but one. Here's a list of agencies that are not overseen by the Executive: pitt.libguides.com Please pay attention to #4 on that list.
