Shutdown Begins

The federal government officially entered a shutdown at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday amid an impasse on Capitol Hill over competing congressional spending bills. The Trump administration has threatened mass layoffs of some federal workers during the shutdown.

Anyone who truly cares about government debt looks at both increases in tax revenues (understanding that static CBO scoring doesn't translate into reality) AND real and tangible reductions in government spending and obligations.

They have to remain financially stable in order to continue to do business. This is a a very rough time.

But the risk of monocropping is pretty well known. And farmers do it anyway.

They knew Trump was going to start a tradewar,, and they voted for him anyway.

Ultimately, it's up to farmers to grow something they can sell.
