MAGA's hatred of the Super Bowl halftime performer reflects a hubris about what parts of the culture are "theirs." But those assumptions are proving more wrong every day.

Two days after Trump posts a racist video, he now attacks Bad Bunny: "Nobody understands a word this guy is saying."
He adds: "There is nothing inspirational about this mess."

I didn't watch BB's performance yet but I can say with 100% confidence that it was the greatest super bowl half time show ever by a former WWE champ.

Bad Bunny's half time show was well done. Creative and well planned and executed.

Couldn't understand the Spanish though.

I did read later the Ricky Martin small part was him singing about Hawaii and what became of their heritage. He was warning "Don't let what happened to Hawaii happen to Puerto Rico".

BB paid homage to multiple nationalities but did say in English "God Bless America".

He showed gay representation done tastefully but any representation is too much for some people.

I enjoyed watching his performance for artistic sake.

I think what most people don't get is the NFL has desires to be international (in fact, in many ways it already is).

People bitching that the halftime show has to be in English don't get this.

Bad Bunny - who I had never seen until yesterday - is immensely popular around the world. So it only make sense the NFL has him do a halftime show. And the ratings support this.

And finally, the last thing I want to see is the old, washed up performers try to hang on.
