Chicago: ICE went to a school pickup line, all in masks, and ripped people from their cars and took them away. No warrants. US Citizens taken. Kids screaming. People were released later, but the terrorists got their point across, didn't they?

ICE is making raids into school pick-up lines and arresting people for, wait for it---
Simply being there.

I'm seeing videos of children screaming because masked goons are invading their school. breaking into care, and arresting their moms.
In all seriousness, one day soon someone is going to shoot one of these freaks out of genuine outrage and/or a need to physically protect their families.

Here are just 2 actions Blue State Governors should take immediately: 1. Stop forwarding federal tax revenue to the federal government 2. Arrest ICE agents that assault their state's citizens (i.e. that ------- who pepper sprayed the preacher). Start fighting FFS

ICE is tear gassing the local police.
If there was any serious argument about who these people are and where they are coming from, that settles it.

If it's warranted on a case-by-case basis, I'm all for this. I don't believe he will go after all ICE agent simply for enforcing the law, which is how DHS is portraying it, and apparently what some people here want.

It sounded to me like Pritzker was looking for something to charge the agents with. They are Federal Officers. I suppose you could accuse individuals at the city or state level, but it would not be as effective as doing it at the Federal level.

That will definitely be an exciting day.
I bet I know how Trumpy will respond.
He will then try and arrest the local police for "interfering with federal immigration enforcement activities".

What does that mean? I suppose this could be a Kansas myopia thing, I don't know much about the place except that a guy helped pull my bus out of the mud there once - but he had North Carolina plates come to think of it, but are you genuinely suggesting that federal agents are immune from prosecution for local or state crimes? I don't know, let's take a hypothetical.
A priest, unarmed, asks an ICE agent to pray with him. Absolutely no threat to the ICE agents as, say, the priest's hands were upraised and empty and in view of the ICE official. If, say, that ICE official fired a chemical weapon, say a pepper ball that hit the priest, I don't know, for arguments sake, let's say the head. And the ICE agent laughs in response.
Is there a charge in that wild, surely fanciful example?
You tell me.

I suppose you could accuse individuals at the city or state level, but it would not be as effective as doing it at the Federal level.
Use Trump's tactics as an example: do it and let the courts sort it out. However, Trump, as president, has the ace card: Insurrection Act. No doubt he would invoke it and claim Pritzker is an insurrectionist. This is something that Trump WILL do at some point. It may be better to force his hand before he is ready to play it. If he played it just prior to the elections, there may not be sufficient time for the courts to react to put an end to his efforts.

Not to mention it's not civilian police work and crowd control. I'm pretty sure the 75th Ranger Regiment's mission isn't what is needed in any of these cities. Only a fascist POS would think so. They are specifically culled and trained. They are Ranger's fershrissakes. Not "we'll take anybody - don't you worry!" and then stick a weapon in their hands.

There is a paper trail for each and every person who is detained and/or deported.
Federal Officers of all types are required by law to provide credentials if asked to do so. Go find an ICE agent and see for yourself.
The obvious exception is when the environment is too dangerous to do that.

Based on recent events in October 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is being forced to explain its actions in court in multiple cases across the country, following lawsuits filed by civil rights organizations and individuals. These legal challenges address a range of issues, including unlawful arrests, the use of force, and a lack of transparency regarding the agency's operations.
In a related development, a federal judge has ordered an ICE field director in Chicago to appear in her courtroom to explain the agency's tactics, including the use of tear gas, during recent enforcement actions.
Let's see if no one is truly above the law. As Pam Blondi has declared.

What about the family separations and child expulsions under Trump?
Over 5,000 children were separated from their parents under the "Zero Tolerance" policy, with no proper system to track or reunite them. None.Parent were deported without their kids - and no way to contact or link the kids to the parents.
over 300,000 immigrant kids status is unknown because of what Immigration experts say is a "missing paperwork problem," not a "missing kids problem."
