Nancy Pelosi is retiring.

Those who believe in liberty and dignity must "never give in to the forces arrayed against the things we hold dearest," Nancy Pelosi argues. "And as I soon begin my final year in Congress, I believe as fervently as ever that this must be our path forward."

Never understood the knee-jerk hostility some self-proclaimed libs have had with Nancy.

She was one of the most effective Speakers of the House Dems have had, passing pretty much every major initiative under Obama.

Everything was held up by the Dem Senate refusing to throw out the filibuster when they had the chance (when they had the majority).

100% agree.
She was absolutely incredible in her role and in what she acheieved.
Her record on bring to a vote and winning is unmatched by any Speaker in our history.

I respect her morality and integrity.

"If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?" Anton Chigurh, No Country for Old Men.

Her auspicious early career achievements withstanding, Nancy became part of the the 21st century Democrat party rule, and as such she became partially responsible for helping Trump get elected, not once, but twice. She ended up undermining Trump's first impeachment inquiry by rushing through the process and prioritizing politics and maintaining power over deliberate fact-finding and patiently presenting a compelling case to not only skeptical Republicans, but to the American people. That will be her legacy.

Yeah, because no one realized that Trump was a lying POS pervert. As he pardons rapists, pals around with Epstein, admitted on video to sexually assaulting women, lied about cheating on his pregnant wife with a corn star, intruded on underage girls in their dressing room, etc. Yes, Nancy Pelosi is to blame for the willful ignorance of the GOP.

The 300 lb sack of Putin's ------ thought it was hilarious that one of his supporters fractured the skull of Pelosi's husband.

And where do all the roads take the fabulously wealthy Nancy Pelosi?

I thought she was already gone. 'Spose I won't miss her much.

She was a hardass at times when she needed to be, so there's that.

But overall, it's a new world, and folks in her district would probably be better served by someone with a few more breaths in them.

R or D, people don't really need to be in office for decades and decades. We can thank the old-time racist Senate Democrats who held power from the 50s to the early 80s for institutionalizing a lot of the crap we're living through today.

She should have been gone decades ago.

She blocked so much good progressive legislation. She's an unrepentant capitalist, she's the past, democratic socialism is the future.

And I'll just remind everybody it's HER FAULT that we just had to suffer through yet another clock change instead of having year-round DST.

Privately about J6: "I take full responsibility".
Publicly about J6: Trump is "domestic enemy" and must "pay a price" for the attack.

ObamaCare: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

Perhaps she realizes America is finding out whats in it, now she walks away making it someone else's problem.

I respect power, and she wielded it well. But you putting her up on the pedestal of mortality and integrity is why we call you LyinYav.

She had a historic career. She was a highly effective Speaker, especially when contrasted with the feckless Mike Johnson.

Inut says he's going to skulk back to China for retirement.

I keep asking him if he's going to give up his DNA for monitoring or will they have to force him?

No answer yet...

Who is this "we" commie boy?

"we" be everyone that knows LyinYav. You should too here's another place she had little ethics and integrity. Do you support Obama here or Pelosi?

Obama fumed at Pelosi over quickly endorsing Harris

Jonathan Karl's new book, "Retribution," details a tense 2024 phone call between former President Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi over her quick endorsement of Kamala Harris despite an alleged understanding between the two that they would not give their automatic endorsement of the former Vice President.

DonorBot, you see you got creamed again on your supposed Newsom press release on Prop36?
Probably not, you probably walked away thought you won, but you got shellacked again thinking Newsom told the truth.

Inut says he's going to skulk back to China for retirement.

Why wouldn't I, its cheaper and collecting my SS, plus my 401K from my company, me and my children, and their children will be living like Kings. While the poor children here suffer under ever rising "transitory" inflation.

Good luck!

First time I have seen this question.

They started this in 2017. I haven't been back since 2009, I am not in the database yet. By the time I go back it won't be needed.

#16 | Posted by oneironaut at 2025-11-07 12:26 PM | Reply

- By the time I go back it won't be needed.

And why, pray tell, won't it be needed at the arrival of Your Magnificence?

You were complaining about the the surveillance of the State here last time I asked, rofl. Wait until you have cameras and drones on every corner, in your phone, and your DNA in file in China.

#17 | Posted by Corky at 2025-11-07 01:05 PM | Reply

You were complaining about the the surveillance of the State here last time I asked, rofl.

I have not, I don't answer you much because you really have nothing to add to my information database. You just attack people, its boring and petty and uninformative. I answer your question politely and you attack, some liberal you are. You claim to be religious, but practice none of its concepts here.

The surveillance state is already happening in the US everyone knows this, do you not know this? The difference is in China we know its going on and if we have to (can't imagine a reason) we just avoid it.

And why, pray tell, won't it be needed at the arrival of Your Magnificence?

Because they will have enough information to proceed with their studies. There is an advantage in China, the HIPPA in the US doesn't allow aggregating data from across the country. With this data, China will be able to use AI to invent medicines to help people, and tell them what to avoid. The scale of the study is unfathomable here in the US. The US just can't do it here because you thing the government will do something horrible with your DNA. But the US military collects its soldiers DNA all the time, there is DNA forensics. The idea that your DNA is private is quite funny when faced with the reality.

You're so pathetic, you think you got something, but you really it just shows, you don't understand the magnitude of how far behind the US is to China.

Long overdue. I guess with insider trading by Members getting increased scrutiny, she figures she's looted all she can from the office.

Ah, so. Chinese forced DNA monitoring is only for Studies?

No, the Chinese government's forced DNA monitoring program is not solely for research studies; its primary stated purposes are for policing, general crime detection, and social control, including tracking ethnic minorities and dissidents.

Falling further behind everyday.

The Republican Party is desperate to return to the days of Amish living and are determined to drag the rest of America with them.

Progress has become a wedge issue with conservatives vehemently opposed to it.

Most of America stopped progressing back in the 1960s and 70s.

Few men can really appreciate her pioneering efforts and place in our political landscape... especially since Trumpanzee normalized women competitively running for higher office... and they behave as if women have always been competitive...

Nope

Nancy Pelosi was among the first.
