A person who said they witnessed federal agents shoot and kill Alex Jeffrey Pretti submitted a sworn statement in court disputing the federal government's account of the shooting. "I have read the statement from DHS about what happened and it is wrong," the person said in the statement.[image or embed]

The video I saw shows he's wasn't brandishing as he approached, but it looked like he was grabbing for something in his pants (on his holster side?) shortly after (40 second mark).

Looked like they disarmed him and someone else shot him a couple seconds after. From the video, no telling what was going on when they piled on top of him, but his gun came from somewhere.

Just watched this analysis of the shooting, including some video I hadn't seen before.

Male nurse had no gun in his hands, and didn't draw his gun.

The agent shot him after he saw that the gun had been taken away, as it probably didn't even register with him that the guy was now disarmed even though he was looking right at it.

There's a third video I just watched and it just confirms everything.

He died trying to help people being brutalized by agents.

His response to them shoving two women was to a) help the women and b) put himself between them and the agents WITH HIS HANDS UP.

At no point does he reach for his gun.

Why? Because if the gun had discharged straight into the ground when the ICE s*&^bag was running away with it, you would have seen him and others in close proximity react because they would have all been hit by fragments of the bullet.

A bullet impacting a hard surface will explode into thousands of tiny fragments of hot jacket and lead (called spalling), which would have enough energy that close to puncture skin.

An instructor I know still has pieces embedded in his leg from when someone taking a private lesson accidentally discharged their handgun into the floor while reholstering his weapon. The instructor was standing a few feet behind him and took multiple fragments in the lower legs.

It's funny that you think the extra magazine indicates some sort of nefarious intent. Meanwhile, a significant number of carry holsters come attached to...a side car for an extra magazine.

He wasn't participating in a protest. He was walking down the sidewalk when he saw a womam who fell down after getting pepper sprayed. Alex Pretti was simply helping her get up. Then, an agent approached and got right in his face while Pretti was holding a phone, the other hand in the air. No weapon.

He was then swarmed by at least 6 agents who beat him.

When he was shot, they'd already taken the gun he was carrying in the small of his back.
