Laura,
"Transphobic bigotry."
I'm not transphobic. I just don't agree with everything you think I should.
If the wrong pronoun or name is used, I don't agree with it becoming a big deal involving HR.
It's something they will have to tolerate. Insults...no. Dead naming or using the wrong pronoun is a difficult issue, but not worth creating office friction over.
The more you complain about it, the more some people will do it. Don't encourage the haters.
I have no issue with anyone living as the other gender. Not my business. I don't care. No big deal.
Except....
Anyone born male should never participate in women's sports because they have an unfair advantage and risk the safety of girls and women.
I actually posted this ten years ago.
5-10-16,
"After all is said and done, transgendered people will rue the day their cause was picked up by the gay rights movement. (gay rights and transgender issues are not that connected...if you look at the big picture) Transgendered people will be forced to obey new laws when they could have simply used the opposite facility quietly without a lot of drama before the gay rights people decided a few teenage kids who aren't old or experienced enough to make such a decision were pushed along by adults with an agenda."
It would appear that is the direction states may now be going as a defensive measure.
I agree with the military keeping biological sex standards for service members.
Other than that, rock on.
If that makes me transphobic, so be it.
