A towering gold statue of Donald Trump was unveiled at the president's golf course in Doral, Florida, during an emotionally charged ceremony presided over by an Evangelical pastor.

Placed on a pedestal in a clearing of palm trees, the 22foot colossus depicts the president thrusting his fist into the air, echoing his defiant gesture after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"At Wednesday's dedication ceremony, the sculpture was draped in white and blue fabric, resembling a Greek toga. It was encircled by a few dozen guests seated in chairs, as Pastor Mark Burns " a member of Pastors for Trump " spoke at a podium.

"Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment," Burns wrote on social media before emphasizing that the gilded effigy was not a false idol."

'Member when Pastors were for God, not Pastors for Trump?

Seems like forever.

It seems eerie how Jesus from 2,000 years ago was able to predict low-bandwidth mean-spirited people would worship someone like Trump, and revel in his golden idols.

Then again, I guess people have always been like that. Jesus was simply noticing it, and saying how bad it is to get conned by them.

And Jesus is just one of the many throughout history who warned us about this kind of leader.

JC warned about this kind of leader, and even said the Fallen Church would support him.

Trump thinks he's the most powerful person to ever live' (May 1, 2026)

... Donald Trump has not been coy about his desire to be remembered as the most powerful person to ever live. The 79-year-old president has been privately and publicly musing about his place in history as he serves his final term in the world's most powerful office, a longtime confidant and senior administration officials told The Atlantic.

"He's been talking recently about how he is the most powerful person to ever live," the Trump confidant told The Atlantic. "He wants to be remembered as the one who did things that other people couldn't do, because of his sheer power and force of will." The Atlantics in-depth investigation drew on multiple White House insiders who spoke anonymously to candidly detail their private conversations with the president.
No longer competing with Lincoln or Washington

This internal rhetoric marks a shift in the president's self-perception as he seeks to leave a permanent mark on the global order. Trump no longer views himself as a peer to American icons like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. Instead, he has allegedly set his sights on the world-historical status occupied by figures such as Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The philosophical framework the president's allies invoke is rooted in the 19th-century German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, who argued that history is shaped by rare "world-historical individuals" -- men like Caesar, Alexander and Napoleon -- who redirected the course of civilization through force of will, often in ways that were condemned as norm-breaking in their own time. ...

Human nature is human nature.

That's why the wisdom that can be gleaned from religious texts holds true today as it has for centuries.

"Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf," he said.

Correct, "Pastor." It's actually a yellow-colored depiction of a huge horse's as s.
