Pastor leads wild dedication ceremony for Trump's giant gold statue at his own golf course

The president himself called into the ceremony to thank the religious leader and guests in attendance

A towering gold statue of Donald Trump was unveiled at the president's golf course in Doral, Florida, during an emotionally charged ceremony presided over by an Evangelical pastor.

Placed on a pedestal in a clearing of palm trees, the 22foot colossus depicts the president thrusting his fist into the air, echoing his defiant gesture after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"At Wednesday's dedication ceremony, the sculpture was draped in white and blue fabric, resembling a Greek toga. It was encircled by a few dozen guests seated in chairs, as Pastor Mark Burns " a member of Pastors for Trump " spoke at a podium.

"Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment," Burns wrote on social media before emphasizing that the gilded effigy was not a false idol."

'Member when Pastors were for God, not Pastors for Trump?

It seems eerie how Jesus from 2,000 years ago was able to predict low-bandwidth mean-spirited people would worship someone like Trump, and revel in his golden idols.

Then again, I guess people have always been like that. Jesus was simply noticing it, and saying how bad it is to get conned by them.

And Jesus is just one of the many throughout history who warned us about this kind of leader.

Trump thinks he's the most powerful person to ever live' (May 1, 2026)
www.aol.com

... Donald Trump has not been coy about his desire to be remembered as the most powerful person to ever live. The 79-year-old president has been privately and publicly musing about his place in history as he serves his final term in the world's most powerful office, a longtime confidant and senior administration officials told The Atlantic.

"He's been talking recently about how he is the most powerful person to ever live," the Trump confidant told The Atlantic. "He wants to be remembered as the one who did things that other people couldn't do, because of his sheer power and force of will." The Atlantics in-depth investigation drew on multiple White House insiders who spoke anonymously to candidly detail their private conversations with the president.
No longer competing with Lincoln or Washington

This internal rhetoric marks a shift in the president's self-perception as he seeks to leave a permanent mark on the global order. Trump no longer views himself as a peer to American icons like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. Instead, he has allegedly set his sights on the world-historical status occupied by figures such as Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The philosophical framework the president's allies invoke is rooted in the 19th-century German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, who argued that history is shaped by rare "world-historical individuals" -- men like Caesar, Alexander and Napoleon -- who redirected the course of civilization through force of will, often in ways that were condemned as norm-breaking in their own time. ...

Self-flagellation is a Medieval Catholic tradition due to a misreading of Paul, who was speaking symbolically about the relationship of spirit to flesh... as is pretty obvious in the original language.

Pedophile priests in Catholic history since the 11th century are more real; they were under Canon Law, and suffered lighter punishment than local law would have given them.

DJT, of course, would never participate in the former, but we have countless women testifying to the latter.

"Supported"?

What a fool you are, bj boi

Throughout the month of October, 2024, the Trump campaign (and associated entities) spent $300,000,000.00 on ads in all 7 swing states during televised NFL and NCAA football games. The topic of all of those ads? Then-CA Attorney General Kamala Harris' 2019 response to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming (read: trans) care for federal inmates.

And the amount of money the Harris campaign spent countering those ads in the swing states during NFL and NCAA football games? You know, to point out the truth that she was simply responding to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming for federal inmates? To counter the deceptive, the lying-by-omission ads run by Trump & company?

Zero dollars

The efficacy of this strategy was born out election night, 2024, when Steve Kornacki was calling individual counties (starting with Pennsylvania) and highlighting that the Harris/Walz ticket was falling short of votes as opposed to the votes in the 2020 election for the Biden/Harris ticket. His reporting was, in effect, a death by 1,000 cuts for Harris/Walz.

Trump & company knew that all it would take would be the suppression of Biden votes in 2024 by just a point or two for Trump to carry those counties, all 7 swing states and, ultimately, the election. They judged, correctly, that men - men of color and white - would be turned off enough by the "pro-trans" Harris that they voted for Trump, or didn't vote at all.

Either way, mission accomplished.

Nothing there about wondering why millions of Americans either sat out 2024 or voted for Trump.

Nope.

Nothing "wondering" about that whatsoever.

HERE's someone who was at this Golden Drumpf Ribbon Cutting:

"Brock Pierce's dark and disturbing friendship with Jeffrey Epstein

Girls (Russian and Ukrainian, to be exact)
A year after Pierce and Epstein met and four years since Epstein's procurement of a minor for prostitution guilty plea, a distinct change occurs in the discussions between the two financiers: women came up a lot, often in disparaging or objectifying terms.

The first time Epstein sent women to Pierce, it included someone who Epstein referred to in later emails as "my little susie" or "sue" and takes place in March 2012, in Los Angeles.

Sue would play a major role in the relationship between Epstein and Pierce later."

How is that NOT moving the goalposts?!?

He didn't say it, but if he did, it was political speak, and if it wasn't, it was rally language. Of course, it was NBC News, and he literally said he was NOT JOKING. And you won't even bother to click the link, for fear of having to tell the truth.

However, you didn't even say what "goal post" I supposedly moved.

What kind of person gets fired up when told we will never have elections again? Is it a person who believes in democracy?

Are you, the Trump voter and Trump supporter, getting fired up now that we're talking about it?

When Trump says he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and not lose any supporters, was he also just firing up the crowd?

What kind of person gets fired up when their leader says they will still support him even after he commits a murder?

This. This is the conversation you are not capable of having.

He actually said "disinfectants", not bleach, as his opponents were claiming.

Regarding his comment, I call it thinking out loud and I don't believe he was suggesting anyone should drink a cleaning product.

But it seems there are people who did try it.

Regardless, he should have known better than to do that during a national briefing.

Maybe it was intended to deflect the conversation away from something. It certainly did that.

I'm not condoning his behavior, but that doesn't mean that I believe he was suggesting people try drinking "disinfectants".
