Curse them all!

Money to kill Muslims in the Middle East, money for moon launches, money for a ballroom and UFC arena, money for useless battleships, money for Israel, but no money to feed our own people.

The status quo dinosaurs in Congress and their oligarch backers are all to blame for this.

This is why the short-lived White Russian Kerensky government failed after the 1917 Russian Revolution.

The Mensheviks had too many vestiges of the Ancien Regime -- the status quo-- and were quickly ousted.

Here in the US, we treasure our g****n dinosaurs.

Now look where we're at.

George Soros: The billionaire financier has supported proposals that raise taxes on the wealthy and redistribute wealth.

Steven Rockefeller: Philanthropist who has previously joined groups like Responsible Wealth to oppose tax relief for the top 5%.

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield: The founders of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream have frequently signed public letters asking lawmakers to raise their taxes rather than cutting them.

Fair enough but you're trying to understand why a billionaire wants a tax cut but you can't actually point to a billionaire who you know wants a tax cut.

I'm not sure tax rates are that important to billionaires when compared to the other issues that matter to them. They are so unimportant to some they actually oppose the tax cuts, as you pointed out.

Regulations, Environment, Foreign government relationships, infrastructure, investment returns, financing, etc.....

But they were given the tax cuts so they must matter somehow.

Very few of them believe they are hurting others to do it.

Accuse them of what you want but they don't believe they're hurting people. They pay taxes , give to charity, they employ lots of people, represent a big part of the economy.

Nobody who gets to keep a little bit more or make more doesn't think it was taken from someone else.

No, a thousand dollars does not mean the same thing to a poor American as it does a rich one. In economics, this is known as the law of diminishing marginal utility. As a person's income and wealth increase, the value, impact, and satisfaction derived from each additional dollar inherently decrease.

Oh, so you're excusing, perhaps even defending, the tax cuts for the wealthy because we also cut taxes on the middle class?

Maybe you need to rethink that angle.

One of the most brilliant tactics the GOP employed was to place as many folks possible outside the area of paying federal income taxes.

The democrats gladly went along with it but now we have a political environment where a significant portion of the middle class resents the hell out of lower income people paying no taxes while they receive medicaid, food stamps, free school lunches, EITC, etc.

This is how the GOP manages to lure millions of new voters into their camp from the other side because of this frustration. They blame this on the democratic party....which is bullshit because the GOP wanted this.

You become a billionaire by stealing the profit of the labor of millions of others. You literally become a drain on the economy by hoarding wealth.

I followed the link in his article and ended up finding that this has nothing to do with Donald Trump starving kids, but more to do with loss prevention from states who states who can't be bothered with fixing their errors.

"Since the program's inception, SNAP has operated as an entitlement program, meaning anyone who qualifies is entitled to receive benefits, regardless of the program's overall cost or budget. However, starting in FY28, due to a change in the OBBBA, those benefit costs will be shifted away from the federal government and over to states, further straining state budgets. States will need to pay a share of SNAP food benefits ranging from five to 15 percent depending on their FY25 or FY26 payment error rate.

Payment errors are largely unintentional mistakes by state agencies or families, and a rigorous quality control process ensures that errors are minimized. States with an error rate of six percent or higher must pay five percent of benefit costs, with the state's share increasing up to 15 percent as its payment error rate increases. All states, with the exception of South Dakota, have had an error rate above six percent at some point in the last two decades. Were error rates to be similar to FY24, we could expect 42 states, including the District of Columbia, to face at least a five percent cost-shift. Instead of assisting states in lowering their error rates, the OBBBA cuts administrative funding and punishes states for such mistakes. These impacts will be felt across the country, from conservative states like Oklahoma to more liberal states like Connecticut"

You sound like someone who believes it's impossible to accumulate wealth. Rather, it's distributed by the government to folks who are called "billionaires".

"he doesn't need any more sandwiches?" so? What now? Specifically, what do you want? It's already understood that billionaires have more money than they could ever hope to spend.

Try and understand the actual economy and use words that better explain it. "stole sandwiches from hungry kids to give to the rich"..........explain what that means if you can.

- These kids are the lucky ones, eh?
This same Big Ugly Bill killed at least 700,000 kids in Africa, most of whom died of starvation, also to pay for tax cuts for DJT and his fellow criminals.
Count your lucky stars, kids.

Trumper are obviously quite proud of their death tolls, whether it's Iranian school girls, African children, or Americans of various sorts suffering.

We are currently starving Cuban children to death with an illegal immoral completely unjustifiable blockade

It's literally due to the tax cut he forced Congress to give him.
So yea. It does have everything to do with Trump.

Did you read what I sourced in #63? No? Or you did and just can't be bothered with the Federal Government saying enough of the waste.

40 some odd states have waste over 6%.

FTA
"All states, with the exception of South Dakota, have had an error rate above six percent at some point in the last two decades"
Maybe all the other governors need to send a representative to South Dakota to see what their secret to not leaking money is...

The Federal Gov't is essentially saying that if states can't quit wasting money because they're poor managers, they will need to pay for their errors.

Waste over 6% gets you a 5% penalty and goes up from there. Funny how South Dakota can with an error rate just over 3% but states like Alaska are sitting at 24.66%

BTW here's you a list of states and their error rates for 2024

I think we should put down a government that won't feed hungry children.
