Hey, Lamp... wondered how you fared; so, the heat held up and you didn't turn into a popsicle?
You've prolly been to Lake Winnepasaki, ehya? (best NH accent!)
Being from TX, the first time I saw snow that deep was the mid-80's; we had flown up in winter from Austin.
Landed at Logan in a huge snowstorm, which we drove through all the way up to the lake with a few hour traffic jam midway up the Interstate where I thought we might all freeze to death, but they actually had blankets.
My wife's parents had a cabin on Black Cat Island, and my daughter was like two, so we so that many feet of snow for the first time together.
Next morning we woke up to a Winter Wonderland, and I walked down to the lake. It looked frozen, and I was testing it with one foot... when a pick-up truck towing an ice fishing hut came around the corner.. on the lake!
The guy looked at me, saw what I was doing, and stared like he thought I must... be from Texas or something.
I later lived up there at the lake for about a year, then several more close to the Patriot's stadium south of Boston. It was, 'wicked cold' and snowy there a few times, too.
- his usual mix of false statements, self-aggrandizement and bizarre asides,
Yeah, he'll try to be on his best behaviour, but that's hard werk when you King.
Not distracting from him being what has given him 60 percent negative Polling is prolly the best idea. Perhaps just quoting him would do more damage.
