In domain specific applications it's a useful tool.
Like in mathematics, where there are rules, and the AI can be trained on things we already know are true.

In my estimation the biggest threat to top tier jobs is lawyers. AI can do more research than any person could.
Coders are already feeling the heat, but there's something of a glut of coders who don't really know how to code, or how to interact with humans, going back decades now, because demand is so high. So it's more of a separating the wheat from the chaff event happening to coders. Just my two cents.
