Only 11,000 cases soon to be zero.

This wouldn't be a problem at all if we would just stop with the testing!

Oligarchs are racist Malthusians without compassion, seeing the masses as using up their precious resources, so "fcck'em." And now that a NYC slumlord who denied people of color apartments is POTUS, this mega-slumlord in the White House is once again denying people of color assistance-- this time with lethal results. In his novels, Charles Dickens couldn't conjure a villain as vile as Trumpf. Shakespeare comes close with Richard III or MacBeth.

"CDC officials say the rise is the mainly due to international travel and migration. The vast majority of U.S. TB cases are diagnosed in people born in other countries. Other illnesses that weaken the immune system and allow latent TB infections to emerge may also be at play.

Outbreaks in several states have contributed to recent TB trends, including a recent one in the Kansas City, Kansas area. The Kansas TB rate jumped 148% last year, according to the new CDC data. Alaska and Hawaii continue to have the highest case rates"

Isn't USAID what the US sends to other countries?

what does it have to do with Kansas City or even our borders? At least since January of this year?

#19 | Posted by eberly at 2025-03-31 05:22 PM | Reply

USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development, primarily focuses on providing humanitarian assistance and funding global development projects, such as combating diseases like tuberculosis (TB), improving food security, and supporting education and democracy abroad. However, its activities often have indirect but significant implications for the U.S., including Kansas City and border-related issues.

USAID's Connection to U.S. Interests:
1. Public Health and Disease Prevention: USAID plays a critical role in controlling global health threats like TB. The recent freeze in USAID funding has led to an estimated 11,000 additional TB deaths globally since January 24, 2025, and disrupted TB prevention programs in 24 countries. This could increase the risk of TB cases spreading to the U.S., as international travelers or migrants may bring the disease across borders. The U.S. has already seen a rise in TB cases, with over 9,000 reported in 2023"a 16% increase from the previous year[2][5].

2. Food Security and Agricultural Research: USAID funds agricultural research programs that benefit both developing nations and U.S. farmers. For example, Kansas State University (K-State) hosts labs funded by USAID that develop drought-resistant crops and improve food systems globally. These programs also enhance U.S. agriculture by advancing crop resilience to climate change and pests. The funding freeze has jeopardized these efforts, leading to lab closures and potential disruptions in the U.S. food supply chain[3][6].

3. Immigration and Border Stability: In Latin America, USAID supports initiatives addressing poverty, violence, and corruption"key drivers of migration to the U.S. With 83% of USAID's projects in the region now cut, experts warn of increased migration pressures at the southern border. This could strain resources in border states and cities like Kansas City that may receive migrants[4][7].

Broader Implications:
The freeze on USAID funding not only affects global humanitarian efforts but also poses risks to U.S. national security, public health, and economic stability. While its primary focus is international development, the agency's work often aligns with protecting American interests by mitigating global crises before they impact the U.S. directly.

"Trump's words were day one."

So, your talking point now is that the food inflation Biden couldn't solve in 4 years took Trump 3 weeks longer than he originally promised? Yeah, run with that -------.

"US citizens aren't gonna work the fields. They'd already be doing it."

They did since the founding of the country right up to the point that the Dems started flooding the country with illegals. Who do you think harvested the food in the 80's? The illegals destroy the wage scale for ag jobs and citizens then moved to other professions. Restore the wage scale and citizens come back. It is simple supply and demand.

"So. You're going to pay the same people, more money, and give them citizenship?"

Who the hell ever said that? Guest worker means you come for work and you leave after. Literally every country in the world can figure this out but the US.

"What about shedding tears for people who can't afford to buy food anymore?
#57 | Posted by ClownShack "

You see, that is the genius part of kicking out the illegals. The people that will benefit the most from the uplift in wages will be the working poor in the US. As such, they will finally be able to start amassing wealth as their wages are not perpetually depressed by illegals. That is what the Dems fear the most. With people no longer feeling helpless and needing handouts - why would they vote for the Democrats?

I will do this one time and one time only for you.

Illegals do not work exclusively in agriculture despite what the lying liberals tell you. By removing them, the supply of unskilled labor will probably go down by 25-30% in the US. With a drop in the supply or workers, employers will have no choice but to increase the wages to retain workers. However, even in the case that illegals only worked in ag, the same effect would occur as unskilled workers switch jobs from washing dishes or working on production lines to get better pay in ag - which has the same exact impact.

As I have said before - you ------- liberals wanting the flood of illegals and at the same complaining about how none of the increase in wealth makes it down to the working poor in this country over the last 30 years ARE THE PROBLEM.

A majority will be paid by people that above the 'working poor' level because they can afford to buy more products. However, they will get the payoff from having a less inequitable society and MUCH LOWER spending on government handouts as the people can now support themselves. This is literally how the economy has always worked until you started flooding the country with illegals.

Where is this massive fraud? You don't need to rehash anything. Just give us one example of this so called MASSIVE FRAUD.

Because you got nothing. The "massive" coverage was that Stinky and -------- had found nothing of substance and the firings will cost even more money to taxpayers after the expense of multiple court cases, civil lawsuits and federal workers being put on admin leave to sit on their butts at home on our dime and do nothing until the appeals processes are finalized.

Just went shopping and a dozen eggs at the discount store were $7.98 a dozen. So.. Egg prices are not "down" they are just not going up and are stabilized at a very high price.

Illegal crossings are only temporarily down as our immigration laws have not yet been reformed by Congress.

Meanwhile disease outbreaks in America are at an all time high.

Man, what a meaningless word salad.

When you raise wages, you raise prices.

So whether it's livestock or agriculture or construction or whatever else immigrants are doing, the prices will get more expensive.

Which is fine for millionaires and billionaires.

But will severely affect the middle class and will cause the poor to have to go without, even more than they already do.

Which, to apathetic, shortsighted trumpers may be meaningless, but in reality, it's the end of this nation.

One has to wonder why you hate Americans so much.

This is why the country is how it is now with the destroyed wage scales due to mass illegal immigration. However, due to liberal brain rot, you think the solution (more illegals) is actually the poison that made you sick in the first place.

I ask you this question:

What high standard of living country with low poverty rates (you can think Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, etc) allows mass immigration of unskilled illegals?

Tell me the difference between shipping a job to China and importing an illegal to do the job in the US. Both displace the American worker - but illegals also bring you the benefit of social disruption and spiraling social spending on their families, etc. But, if you can see the evil in sending jobs overseas, how can you continue to support mass illegal immigration into the US?

Statements against interest, and all that.

And we'll do it DOGE-style: any farmer who can't get his crops to market, clearly had to use illegal workers in the past. Lock them up!

The same goes for H1B. If you can find a post of mine stating we need to continue or expand H1B, you would have a point. However, I - and MAGA - are both opposed the H1B program because IT SUPPRESSES US WAGES. I am entirely consistent in everything I post.

This is the only logical conclusion. Even Bernie Sanders when I first learned about him, and supported him took a similar logical position.

"My concern about the bill that I voted against was that there was too much emphasis on bringing low-wage workers into this country," he said. "What I want to see, and what is better about the recent bill, is a pathway toward citizenship, which is absolutely essential."

You response has now been that you are against illegals and you want to go after employers.

How can they say this with a straight face, when people cross the border without authorization, and recieve work authorization? Are they against that? NO.

So how would they go after employers? How would it stop them from hiring "undocumented" border crossers, when they are legally able to work?

Lumpers say stuff like this, then complain and protest what is going on in Florida. They really don't want to go after employers, they just want to say that.

This was the standard Democrat position before they went insane. In the past, Democrats wanted a closed border because their union base knew that illegals destroyed the value of labor - especially in the trades. And that is exactly what has happened. Framing, roofing, etc - the 'unskilled' trade jobs - all went after the illegals to lower costs.

The result is what you saw in 2024 - the labor 'bosses' still support the Dems because they are lining their own pockets but the union MEMBERS increasing are abandoning the Democrats because they see the destruction and impact firsthand.

Now - the question is: will Danforth be man enough to admit it? If so, I welcome him to MAGA, we can fix his remaining mental shortfalls.

"Lumpers say stuff like this, then complain and protest what is going on in Florida. They really don't want to go after employers, they just want to say that.
#130 | Posted by oneironaut"

What I see is even more insidious. They want to place punishments on employers and then make checking and enforcing by the employer impossible. They do this by whenever an employer attempts to check legal status, they claim discrimination and threaten to sue. They have done this dozens of times now. The reality is that they want to pay this 'solely blame the employer' game because they wanted nothing to be done on the border itself because ultimately, THEY WANT MASS ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. There is no longer any doubt about this.

How many of the --------- on this site blamed the border problem on Trump blocking a deal in Congress so Biden's hands were tied? The main assumptions they always stated (because the lying Democrats told them this was the case) was that the President can't do anything on immigration with an act of Congress.

Well, Trump just proved this 100% wrong. How many have since admitted they were lied to and apologized for perpetuating this talking point? None. Why? Because they knew it was a -------- excuse and never wanted to solve the problem.

Estimates are roughly half are illegal. This came up last time Trump was President, so unless things have changed, there's about a half million illegal farm workers Republicans can send to camps, destroying the livelihoods of America farmers, allowing Trump and Russia and China to buy the American farms, which would be a win-win for Republicans.
