It is thought he was charged with waging war against God', which is punishable by death in Iran, following his arrest in the city of Fardis, near Tehran. Supporters say he has not been allowed legal advice and had no chance to defend himself before a verdict of death by hanging was delivered. He was allowed to see his family for just ten minutes yesterday to say goodbye, according to activists. The National Union for Democracy in Iran said: "He was denied access to a lawyer. Erfan's only crime was calling for freedom."

Thanks to the Israeli Mossad, who didn't give a darn about their sources and assets in Iran, 700 Iranians were easily rounded up for espionage by the experienced Iranian counterintelligence agencies for helping Israel. Six were executed within days of capture.

This is the opposite of Ukraine and their SBU who take care of assets captured by the Russians.

I hope these useful idiots who helped Israel thought their lives were worth it.

"Thanks for nothing, Israel!"

Iran seems like another hopeless situation with the Islamists deeply embedded to snuff out the will of the people :-(

The protestors don't have guns.

The Iranian military do.

Also, China is assisting the Islamic Government.

The "Protesters" being executed were Israelis Stooges who shot people dead and started huge fires.

The Iranian response was too quick and not enough due process, but not unlike anything that would happen here under the circumstances.

Be Honest, if people were killing ICE by the dozens in pitched battles what would be the Trump response?

Iran is a perfect example of the "Law of Unintended Consequences."

Through CIA (Teddy Roosevelt's son Kermit), the US installed the Peacock Throne in 1953.

For 26 years this brutal satrapy detained and tortured dissidents with the CIA and Mossad trained SAVAK.

The result was the slow and steady elimination of the intelligentsia and academics, the moderates of Iran.

After the notorious Shah was overthrown, there were no moderate leaders to fill the leadership void.*

Senor military officers who did not flee Iran would have been seen as part of the ancien regime, so they ruled themselves out.

The one group of educated people with a network and who had considerable moral authority were the religious leaders, like Ayatollah Khomeini.

Hence the theocracy took hold in Iran.

Tehran immediately opposed two regimes: Israel and Suid-Afrika for their apartheid policies, not the US.

When Israel invaded southern Lebanon in 1982, the Shia Muslims were getting clobbered and their Amal militia was ineffective.

Iran began helping their co-religionists in southern Lebanon because nobody else in the world was.

That was the genesis of Lebanese Hezbollah.

*Napoleon filled the void after the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. He rallied the citizenry who were now being attacked by the UK, Prussia, and other countries that wanted to reinstall the Bourbons. Lenin, Trotsky and finally Stalin did the same in post-Czarist Russia.

Here we have a peek into our own future at the hands of Trump, unless he is stopped right now.

#14 | Posted by Zed at 2026-01-13 09:05 AM | Reply

He won't be stopped without bloodshed.

Him getting Reelected shows that.

Enough Deadenders "love" him to make that inevitable.

Because stability is ALWAYS better for business.

A lesson our fell citizens are incapable of absorbing.

So, you're justifying the response based on your anti-Israel bigotry and because Trump would do it too?

That's not the dunk you think it is.

#18 | Posted by jpw at 2026-01-13 11:40 AM | Reply

I'm not justifying anything.

I'm saying Trump is lying about giving a shit about Iranian "Freedom".

His Concern for civilians is very selective at best.

Many of the hard core protesters have been murdering people in pitched battles with police.

Is that acceptable here? Should we be Attacked by a foreign power if it does happen here?

Would you support that?

Israel has sent operatives into Iran, they deployed them in June and they are deploying them Now.

It's not a stretch to believe that given the Terrorist attacks on Iran by Israel in June before the Islamic Republic Pummeled Tel Aviv And Eilat.

Leading to a premature Ceasefire that Israel didn't want but had to Accept because they' were getting their ASSES BLOWN UP.

What the Iranian citizens are doing is incredibly brave. Normally Iran does a total blackout when they crash down on their citizenry. Thankfully, Starlight has enabled their citizens to video the atrocities and broadcast it to the world.

It's terribly disappointing that the West has been so ambivalent about what is going on in Iran right now.
