I'm telling what we are doing now and what we have been doing. You act like you're completely unaware of those efforts.
You are praying for a solution that isn't coming. Not ever.
We aren't going to pay poor people to stop being poor.
We didn't use to do much of anything....but in the last century or so we've started this....
Social Security
Medicare
Medicaid
Free and reduced lunches
welfare, WIC, SNAP, etc
housing assistance
Projects (yes, "projects" were a solution to homeless issues)
Grants given to non-profits to operate food banks, health care clinics, clothing, etc.
And tons and tons of more help has been done at local levels all throughout this country.
