Combine it with three shots of moose urine, a copperhead's tail, a legless lizard's head, mix it up with a raccoon penile bone swizzle stick and Bob's yer uncle.

If I understand MAGA philosophy correctly (I do), these people have the right to make themselves sick, and a right to die from that sickness.

Let them enjoy that freedom. It's why they're in Idaho to start with.

I've seen raw milk in vending machines in various locations around Switzerland. There is a label on the front of each machine that encourages boiling before consumption, LOL.

Just sayin'

Approximately 1.5 million people in the United States get ill from Campylobacter each year. In England, there were over 70,000 reported cases in 2024 alone.

And? Nobody said there were zero cases.

And how many of those were from raw dairy as opposed to, oh I don't know, the most common cause of infection, raw/undercooked chicken?

Push for raw milk intensifies across the US, despite illness outbreaks and scientists' warnings (April 2026)
www.nbcnews.com

... Backers of raw milk are pushing to make the potentially dangerous product more widely available and easier to obtain, even as a new disease outbreak " one of at least five in the past year " sickens U.S. children.

More than three dozen bills supporting raw milk have been introduced in statehouses across the nation, The Associated Press found. A growing number of states are making it legal to sell. Dairy farmers say they can barely keep it in stock, even though prices can exceed $10 or $20 a gallon. ...

I wouldn't be surprised if CBSA inspectors didn't ask for proof of vaccination or didn't conduct secondary inspections to see what the dumfux of Idaho might be bringing in to healthy, functioning Canada.

This thread is stupid, imo.

Any food made with fecal matter is unsafe, when dealing with live bacteria that becomes paramount.

Raw milk isn't the issue and never will be, it's the lack of cleanliness in this specific instance.

Interesting how people presume this impacts only MAGA.

Bacterial contamination can come from numerous sources.

It's a needless, stupid risk pushed by people too stupid to realize there was a reason pasteurization was developed.

Arguing for this is really, really dumb.

Pasteurization allows for a sloppy milk-to-table operation and a longer shelf life. With proper cleaning techniques for the animals, raw milk is safe for human consumption. You're probably a little on the tarded side because you e never had any raw milk.

AKA food safety.

"Proper"

Given the frequency of food-based outbreaks/illness from highly regulated, much cleaner production facilities than dairy farms, again, this is really dumb to argue for. We're literally discussing this on a thread about an article on INCREASED illness from drinking unpasteurized milk.

Seriously, how f*&^ing stupid can you get, lfthndpedo?

OK dumbass Doctor with the pDh, are you saying that the milk is what makes people sick and not the external contaminates? Done properly, raw milk is safe for human consumption.

Have you ever even been in a commercial dairy while operating? It's filthy. The cows are standing in shtt outside waiting to get milked and they drag it in with them. Then they dip the teats in a solution to sterilize them and hook up the vacuum pump. That's the extent of their cleanliness program in the milking barn. And no, I wouldn't advise drinking THAT milk raw. But again, it can be done right and safe to drink.

I grew up in farm country in western NY. Yes, I've seen dairy cows in a milking barn.

That's the point, sport. Yes, it can be done, but it's not worth the risk. Farmer or employee gets lazy, complacent, doesn't switch out disinfectant when needed, does it sloppily or quickly ... especially in a large operation.

The nature of dairy farming is precisely why pasteurization was developed. It's a catch for preventing sloppy procedures from making dozens or hundreds of people sick.

Which is exactly what the story is about.

When I buy raw milk, I'm buying it from a family I can trust. Someone I know and can look at their operation anytime I want to. I've been drinking raw cow or goat milk since I was a child, but less these days because it's harder to find. And I have never been sick because of it. I guess my point is, don't drink it if you have a problem with it. And quit being an ass about it just because some of us know how to procure good raw milk.

Are you agreeing with Nixon's position? What about drinking, smoking, eating sweet fatty foods, not exercising, riding a motorcycle, not wearing shoes etc... should we kick those out of treatment too?
