Before the day is done, some apologist will likely be on this thread defending the sociopaths.

You're probably right about that.
And the post will be tired and jejune talking points bleated at us too.
Yawn.

And then Musk flew to China with him just a couple of weeks ago. Money overrides everything.

Musk's Gov Contracts and Tax Cuts are quite the return on the money he spent for bribing politicians to give him YOUR money:
"Investigations corroborate that Elon Musk's companies have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits over the past two decades.
Furthermore, recent corporate disclosures indicate SpaceX has claimed $1.9 billion in income tax breaks, an amount the company believes could be disallowed upon audit."

400 people made $100Million or more.
4400 people made $1M or more.
Abundance.
Lets say NASA accomplished what SpaceX has done technically, how many people would have benefited financially?
None... I am not sure what Lumpers are complaining about imagine all the taxes that can now be confiscated?
Except for CA where the "Fuck Elon Musk" tweet will live in infamy.

Not sure what the complaint here is, helping the US be the greatest country on earth after the government program floundered should be honored, not pissed on.

I didn't have an opinion of Musk until he got into politics and then I didn't like him.
Musk really hurt the left when he started shitting on California, I guess. The left used to suck him off day after day on this place until.........

Was this before or after Tesla was such the rage? I heard there are some Lumpers here that ordered the ModelS before he got into politics.
Do you think he would have got into politics if the government was being reasonable?

That was when the line to jerk him off was the longest. And yes, several here were flexing about owning a Tesla.
They all regret it now. Mostly because they were lying in the first place.

He's not really a trillionaire.
It's all just paper that will fluctuate regularly and can completely crash out at any moment.

Same with Musk.
My guess is it will rise a little fall some level off ... then shoot to the moon.
The point being, SpaceX will make 100% MORE millionaires than anyone collecting a paycheck from the government ever will (if you discount fraud as a way).

Its strange to me, these Lumpers seem to either worship or destest people, and sometimes flip back and forth.
I don't understand this.

IPO's rarely represent "worth", they represent hope in the future.

Another thing someone mentioned, and I don't see it here ..
Where are all the DR ScienceBros? Elon popularized the electric car in America, diggs tunnels, is in the middle of AI, and out-rocket-launches NASA by orders of magnitude.
Seems like a pretty solid resume.

Tweet that cost California BILLIONS in tax revenue ... can you imagine ...
Should this government employee be held liable for the loss of revenue, that could have been used to feed the children, and give healthcare to illegal immigrants?
