NEW: In the 9 months after last year's reconciliation law enacted unprecedented SNAP cuts, the number of people receiving SNAP fell by more than 4.5 million. Based on available data, we estimate that at least 1.5 million fewer kids are receiving SNAP. www.cbpp.org/research/foo ...

Kids? Unless they have some allowance money in their pocket, there's seldom anything worth stealing. Ever seen Trump with kids? Yeah, wrapped in a cloud of natural affinity. And his own? Whew.

Why do this? Bread, bird and broccoli are not expensive to produce. Is the "one other thing" an intestinal parasite?

The Trump kids made two billion by selling national secrets. Everyone elses children are victims of their treason economy.

"Why do this?"

Because this is what these dirtbag trumpers voted for.

Republicans hate Americans.

Everything Trump and republicans have done has made life worse for Americans.

Because it hurts black and brown kids more than it hurts white kids, Republicans support this.

Trump loves starving kids almost as much as he loves raping them.

Take from the poor to give to the very rich in the form of major tax cuts...top of the list of projects of the Trump gang. It is how he gets the billionaire oligarchs to fund his stupid everything.

FTA
"The legislation tightened eligibility rules for food assistance and increased state screening requirements"

It's called reform.

"Today, I have signed into law H.R. 3734, the "Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996." While far from perfect, this legislation provides an historic opportunity to end welfare as we know it and transform our broken welfare system by promoting the fundamental values of work, responsibility, and family.

This Act honors my basic principles of real welfare reform. It requires work of welfare recipients, limits the time they can stay on welfare, and provides child care and health care to help them make the move from welfare to work.

Clinton also deregulated wall street. And fucked girls with epstein.
We dont worship clinton the way you pathetic submissives worship trump.
That's why we don't go around buying bill clinton bibles and cryptocurrency.

Youre in a cult, so nothing will ever change your submission to your cult leader.

This is a thread about welfare reform. I don't buy Trump bibles, crypto or wear a MAGA hat. I was given two choices to vote for. I chose the one who could make complete sentences and didn't go around in circles of unburdenisms... BTW I believe Bill Clinton did the right thing when he signed the welfare reform piece.

Your post implied that because clinton did something that dems should support it.

Clinton made massive mistakes. Dems can admit that and we don't worship the man. You can't admit trump makes massive mistakes because you're in a cult.

3 times you chose trump over a rational reasonable leader. In none of those occassions was he the better choice by any measure. But you'll forever claim that biden's faults were worse than trump, with zero evidence when it comes to results. And you'll claim that harris WOULD HAVE been worse than trump, a pure fantasy from the cult that lives in delusion. Everything in the country was on a better course when biden left than it is now.

It is?

Cool!

Explain why the "reform" of more hungry kids is an improvement for America.

#23 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-07-27 04:05 PM | Reply

I seems like the majority of the people removed were adults. 3 million out of the 4.5 million.

That appears deliberate. They were trying to remove adults but 1.5 million kids were included in the cuts.

How, exactly, did they come up with the determination? Who was cut from the benefit? Too much income? I assume the line was re-drawn somewhere.

I don't know and don't even care anymore - maybe just give the SNAP to everyone and be done with it. Just getting tired of the people who claim this is some kind of sick trick to starve children. Especially when the people they've voted for did the same/similar. Same with immigration and trade.

That's putting it lightly. Killing the middleclass wasn't a mistake, they all knew what would happen with NAFTA. Now most of our vibrant rust belt cites and the Midwest cities are slums with no opportunity. You can work your way out of poverty with some opportunity, but you're dead in the water with poverty/no opportunity.

No its a sick trick to fund tax cuts for the rich, who don't care if kids have to starve as a result.
