Kinda glad I am old and don't have all that much time left...the future does not look like a place of plenty and peace, it looks like a combination sci-fi nightmare movie combined with eternal wars between last stage capitalist empires and last stage communist empires. Both end with a few gangsters running the whole show.

Trump uses words as propaganda, he is not an expert in anything, certainly not war and its costs and outcomes. Trump has independently decided to take over the world's oil supply and somehow pocket a lot of the profits from its sale, and along the way, force gulf states to pay tribute to the US, forever linking us to the insanity of that part of the world. Talk about a forever war....

It is a war crime to invade a neighboring nation in order to control its people...pure and simple. If, of course, war criminal was a category that was persecuted by the world at large. We either live by the rule of law or we die by the law of the jungle. If I had a time machine and could go forward a thousand years, I would be betting on nuclear armageddon in our future.

Trump doesn't care, he has his mitts into every grift imaginable...and his kids are wandering all over the globe selling influence, seems to me. How many jobs came back from offshore? The Stock Market is way up just because the grift is working for the rich as well as the gangster Trump...those companies make money from their offshore assets.

And I thought my old age would be boring...not sure my America is even financial viable and not in a recession, and he is tossing off billions to those who, I am sure, are talented at bending a knee, to be sure Trump's name and image will be all over the place as if the billions are from his bank account, not the nations.

Hell, it will come in disguise as a religious war of great importance and certainly the Sunni (Saudi)- Shia (Iran) hundreds of years old civil war presents the world a chance for that hell on earth, complete with nuclear weapons of mass destruction.
Once again, Trump has left America weaker and its allies walking away from our alliances. The Saudis wanted nuclear arms, now...in effect, they are a nuclear power.

American citizens expect and deserve strong and secure borders, but Trump has transformed ICE into his brownshirts, to harass people with brown skin or black skin. He was told that demographers have predicted that within about twenty years we whites will no longer be in the majority, and that is intolerable for a racist like Donald Trump.

Oregon could be a sustainable energy center for the US as its Eastern half has a lot of land, and few people. But of course, Trump's main purpose is to screw up everything and everyone, and totally screwing with the climate is how he is doing it. If you voted for Trump twice you knew how horrid a human being he is and didn't care, this is on you MAGA.

To properly access the Trump debacle, you really have to live at the bottom of the economic pyramid and see how nightmarish you life has become. Rents are so high as to make more and more people homeless, food costs are significant, and if one had kids, little people who need medical and dental care, clothes, food...gas costs are, of course, out of sight. And the last report of American economics shows we seem to be heading for some sort of recession.
Us, at the bottom, those at the top of the economy, with the rigged tax schemes and availability of Stock Market monies...times are great. You know, Trump's people.

Money that should be spent on fighting human caused global warming, by investing in more, yes, windmills and solar power. No way a fleet with battleships at its core wins wars...not in 1944, not now.

Astounding stupidity and here I am referring to those who voted for Trump, twice. We had a chance, we really did, to unite and fight global warming.

Human caused global warming just may be the greatest catastrophe humanity will undergo, and it could have been greatly ameliorated by having intelligent leaders in charge, rather than people like Trump totally sold out to big oil. And still people support Trump and his anti windmill ways.

Cuba looks to be election fodder...distraction as the midterms approach...another idiotic war, but one that will impress the Cuban immigrants in Florida. And, of course, another war crime of a war as Cuba is no danger to the US.

Nice to see that CNN still has guts and the people capable of dragging the truth out of the Trump gang. Hope the Ellison's don't get their hands on CNN.

As one who lives in low income senior and disabled HUD housing...the facts speak for themselves, though one wonders if Trump could have found a more smarmy economic bully do deliver the news to the poor that they are...dead to Trump, than Bessent.

No such thing as a good Republican in the time of Trump, he is about doing to America what the Russian billionaires did to Russia as the Soviet Empire fell. Russia now is a pretend democracy, with its independent media all muzzled, and the rule of law for the rich and powerful friends of the dictator...doesn't exist.

A lot of Americans have had to change their summer vacation plans, by a lot. No long drives, saving money, worried about the future, their future, the future of their kids. And there are over two more years of this, if Trump stays in office.

Still, he has to get out of town before another President, read Democrat, takes office, or else he cannot be pardoned for his criminal acts. The law has been clear that a President cannot pardon himself from crimes. So, the clock is ticking both on our democracy and on his hold on the Presidency.
Or not. Would you trust JD to do the right thing in finishing the acts of corruption with a pardon?

Can't have an Orwellian "1984" culture without Big Brother watching all, listening to all, frightening all.

Well, the investigation to the death is not our DOJ< so who knows, maybe the truth will be discovered.

Murder is murder, and the killing of criminal suspects in an extrajudicial fashion is murder in every jurisdiction in America.
And then, of course, were the murders of the 80 Iranian leaders told to gather to create a new agreement, and then they were killed in the single stupidest military action of my lifetime, and I am a Vietnam Veteran.

Pathetic. We live in nightmare times where a people, Israeli Jews, have created a fascist empire of their own, and are stealing Palestinian Land as they in their apartheid ways duplicate to the Palestinians what was done to them by the fascists of Germany.

I am an American, and I view this as an illegal war of aggression carried out by America and Israel. Leaders of both countries are guilty of massive war crimes...but since we don't live in the time of the rule of law, the ICC is irrelevant and this nightmare of life in a end stage capitalist gangster will continue to enrich the rich and impoverish the poor.
