During Trump's Second Term (Starting January 2025)

By January 2026, California filed 54 lawsuits, securing 12 final rulings and 35 preliminary injunctions or emergency relief in its favor.

The Trump administration conceded in at least six cases, dropping legal challenges rather than continuing them.

California is continuing to target federal actions in environmental protection, healthcare, immigration, and funding for programs like child care.
