It does nothing to make elections fairer or Americans and immigrants feel safer. In fact I think it would have just the opposite effect.

Based on what I've read everyone gets counted. It simply asks a citizenship question - are you a citizen?

Non citizens are then not factored in when House seats are apportioned. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with this.

If a non citizen checks a box that says they are a non citizen in today's climate and then send that to the dept of commerce that person will be getting a knock on his door from ICE who be at that address with a squad of goons to take that person into custody a few days later.

I have met many Border Patrol Agents in my career with the federal government. I even went to some training classes with some of them.

The were very professional and I even made friends with a few.

That was many many years ago.

I also watched as management degraded our agency into a hostile mess. All in-person meetings were canceled and we were restricted to our offices and not allowed to even make purchases in order to repair things. It's really hard to run a scientific organization without any funding. It got so bad at one point we were told not to contact each other on the phone. Communication with our peers was frowned upon. The word "Innovation" was literally banned.

So I too had to leave the government. It was one of the best jobs I ever had. But I retired in 2019 under the first Trump administration due to a "hostile work environment". Had planned on working for ten more years.

I have always wondered if I should have stayed and fought. But I have a family and my health was beginning to suffer. Ended up in the ER several times because of the stress. Had to choose life over a premature death ... for my family.

Good. He knows what he's doing.

And much easier to bribe so I hear. But I don't know. That's what the People are saying.
