"The Bible repeatedly warns..."

You mean the collection of fairy tales?

Never fear the next generation; at one time we were all the next generation

He's Got Big, Orange Balls: We speak of New York City Zohran Mamdani, of course. Were you thinking of someone else?

Even those of us who can't afford the $5,000+ per seat tickets know that the New York Knicks are in the NBA finals for the first time in 27 years, as they attempt to win their first title in more than 50 years. And yesterday, in honor of the occasion, Mamdani signed an executive order temporarily repealing kids' bedtimes across the city, so that they can stay up and watch the Knicks play.

Our Take: Nice touch. As we have pointed out many times, the mayoralty of New York City has been a terminal position for well over a century. The last person to have the job, and then get elected to some other office, was Ardolph L. Kline, whose term as (acting) mayor ended in 1913.

We think there's an excellent chance that the young and savvy Mamdani breaks that streak. Can you imagine "Madame Vice President, the Chair recognizes the senior senator from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the junior senator from New York, Zohran Mamdani?"

Never fear the next generation; at one time we were all the next generation.

Somewhere Down The Crazy River (with Sammy BoDean)

Wow, Sammy BoDean (a.k.a., Sam Llanas) seems to be related to the group, The Bodeans.

Who would have thunk?

Israel today looks like America in 1968.

Thanks to the right wing junta of PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli society is being pecked apart by several corroding factors, to wit: the secular vs religious; Islamophobes vs co-existers; homophobes vs LGBTQ+; war-mongers vs pacifists; patriots vs draft evaders; Israeli Arabs vs Israeli Jews; Settlers vs West Bank Arabs; fanatical Jews vs Christians.

Moreover, Israeli society will see a marked increase in PTSD, drug abuse, mental health issues, and suicides from IDF veterans as a result of all these cruel wars against the Palestinians, Lebanese, and Iranians.

No wonder 2025 saw the first net migration loss in Israel's history.

... In January 2025, the president was set up for success. Instead, he blew it ...

Yup.

Big time.

Pres Trump, in January 2025, inherited an economy from fmr Pres Biden that was vibrant, expanding and with inflation trending lower.

So what did Pres Trump do?

For starters, he raised tariffs to absurd levels, that turned around the decreasing inflation.

Then he went onward to destroy the robust economy he inherited. All as he tried to blame his failures of the prior Biden admin's policies.

... I could go on ...

Yeah, Pres trump inherited a robust economy from fmr Pres Biden, and Pres Trump managed to turn that robust economy downwards.

Much like the six bankruptcies he had.
