#14 Other than in a fevered hallucination, just exactly where did you find an official DNC directive demanding that Andrew Cuomo be the pick?

Hint: You can't.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin officially endorsed Zohran Mamdani during his 2025 campaign for New York City Mayor. While the wider Democratic establishment was initially slow to back the democratic socialist, Martin actively supported Mamdani, eventually congratulating him on his mayoral victory in November 2025.

Key Details of the Endorsement and Campaign:

DNC Support: Chair Ken Martin publicly encouraged voters to back Mamdani, later stating that the Democratic Party "wins through addition" and that a broad, inclusive coalition is essential to the party's future success.

Establishment Hesitation: Powerful New York Democrats like Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Hakeem Jeffries initially declined to endorse Mamdani.

High-Profile Backing: Before winning the mayoral seat, Mamdani secured major endorsements from prominent progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, as well as a tepid endorsement from then-Vice President Kamala Harris and a localized endorsement from NY Governor Kathy Hochul.Recent

Activity: Now serving as Mayor of New York City, Mamdani's political presence continues to cause waves. In late May 2026, he notably made local headlines by endorsing a progressive challenger in a key congressional race against incumbent Adriano Espaillat.

The DNC (and, by extension, Ken Martin) deserve a lot of blame.

But, are they worse than Trump, MAGA and the Republicans?

Only if you want to see the Democratic Party crippled in their attempt (from Maine to Alaska) to defang Trump, MAGA and the Republican Party.

Ran into this interesting interaction from 9 years ago ...

Of course it is.

Rank hypocrisy is calling both political parties morally bankrupt while at the exact same time applauding the very root of that bankruptcy.

"The kind of corruption the media talk about, the kind the Supreme Court was concerned about, involves the putative sale of votes in exchange for campaign contributions." - James L. Buckley
"Corruption is worse than prostitution. The latter might endanger the morals of an individual, the former invariably endangers the morals of the entire country." - Karl Kraus
"I think the notion that we have all the democracy that money can buy strays so far from what our democracy is supposed to be." - Ruth Bader Ginsburg
"Concentration of wealth yields concentration of power, particularly so as the cost of elections skyrockets, which kind of forces the political parties into the pockets of major corporations." - Noam Chomsky
"75% of Americans in 2014 believed the federal government is corrupt. According to a New York Times and CBS News poll in May, 84% think money has too much power in our system. That same poll found 85% of respondents support fundamentally changing or completely rebuilding our current system of financing campaigns. About two-thirds think our politics is dysfunctional, according to a September Washington Post/ABC News poll. And in 2014 the Wall Street Journal found that about 70% of Americans are angry and frustrated because our political system seems to only be working for insiders with money and power." -- Alan Simpson
"Let only individuals contribute -- with sensible limits per election. Otherwise, we are well on our way to ensuring that a government of the moneyed, by the moneyed, and for the moneyed shall not perish from the earth." -- Warren Buffett
"I will tell you that our system is broken. I give to many people, I give to everybody, when they call I give, and you know what? When I need something from them, two years, three years later, I call, they are there for me." -- Donald Trump
Again: Rank hypocrisy is calling both political parties morally bankrupt while at the exact same time applauding the very root of that bankruptcy.

Cause and effect, my dense friend.

Cause and effect.

The GUGI is a Russian submariner-commando-sabotage unit and Vladimir Putin always funds the Russian Navy. He does not treat them like cannon-fodder infantry troops getting mulched in Ukraine. Russian and Chinese attack submarines conduct joint patrols in the Pacific Ocean. These are not ICBM- or IRBM- launchers.
