The Labor Force is subordinate to the Nation.
The Nations are subordinate to Capital.

Assuming Trump, why are they so desperate for him to lose weight? Is it diminishing the effectiveness of his dementia injections?

Also, don't police have to take custody of the evidence for it to be evidence? There's no chain of custody here so this evidence is already invalid.

So he could have said, do my laundry at the Laundromat, and same result?

NYC has very few true rent controlled apartments, the ones that are handed down to family members. About half are rent stabilized though, which limits rent hikes.

Mamdani is pushing for zero percent rent hikes; it's currently capped at 3% for one year and 4.5% for two. (I seem to recall every lease I've signed has a provision that rent can go up as much as 10% at renewal.)

Inflation sinks all boats, so it is a problem when landlords can't pay for the inflated cost of repairs and maintenance when their rent income doesn't keep up. Almost like running a business entails financial risk, who knew?

Limiting rent profit would address that more effectivly, but it's much harder to churn the numbers. A big landlord could choose to run their NYC operation at a loss and take profits elsewhere.

The fences ruin it for me. Not that I'd ever go in this political climate.

The entire point of going downtown D.C. for the fireworks is to hang out on The Mall by the Reflecting Pool. I went enough times in high school to see it "evolve" to the point where the Park Police had to ban students from nearby colleges from bringing couches with them. You'd see frat guys carrying a couch down the street, then leaving it behind after the show.

I don't know how fenced off the Reflecting Pool is going to be, but that's just dumb. Who wants to see newly erected failure fences while celebrating The Land Of The Free? Just an ugly analogy for what Republicans are doing to our nation.

Getting rid of rent controlled apartments for one.

not necessarily. The NFL was a 501(c) until about 10 years ago.
