Orthodox Christians -- like the real old ones, that split off from the Catholics 1000 years ago and have yet to reconcile -- have services full of repetitive chanting, lots of incense, few seats except for the infirm, and the services may last two to three hours. I could have lived without the kissing of icons during COVID, but no problems in the community.
Very interesting. And so as not to anger my new fan LeftTrds, I won't name the city. I was visiting my son, you freak.
Orthodox Christianity also a no-no in your book, Bill? Predates that evangelical stuff by, I don't know, 1800 years?
And just like you, they're not warm to Catholics. Maybe they'll reunite in the next few hundred years.
Stone-Campbell movement? Return to first-century Christianity, without the council doctrines and the hierarchy? I've been to one of those churches too. Heard of them?
Intellectual curiosity is a hell of a drug, Bill. There are plenty of people on this forum smarter than I am. I just get paid to read books for a living from what most norms would consider authoritative sources. And then I follow up on what interests me. For work, it's religion and theology, even though I don't believe in a God of any kind. For music, it's total improvisation.
Oops, 8am. Episcopal church next door just had the call to worship. They also do it after Mass and during funerals I think. I wish church bells sounded every hour here. They did at two churches where I could hear it where I used to live (sorry LeftTurds, you pervert).
Trump suckers are on the wrong side of the truth and some of them know it

All of those who come here are aware of it.
But when the truth gets in the way of the programme they disregard it.
It's been this way since the start of MAGA. They've too much invested in their various fantasies to change now.
