From the Washington Post, reporting on Trump's plans to use the military to round up immigrants and throw them into camps.
Interesting data, Eberly. I went here: www.bradyunited.org downloaded the excel data. I then highlighted by president the years for Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden. What I found surprised me. There wasn't much difference. The biggest increase was 2020, Biden - and the numbers went, historically, crazy. Data below sorted from highest to lower (only did 17 or so entries):
Month Year Gun/100,000 President:
March 2020 712 TRUMP
December 2012 701 OBAMA
December 2015 682 OBAMA
June 2020 657 TRUMP
January 2021 606 BIDEN
March 2021 597 BIDEN
November 2020 581 TRUMP
December 2020 566 TRUMP
January 2013 558 OBAMA
December 2016 555 OBAMA
July 2020 553 TRUMP
October 2020 524 TRUMP
August 2020 503 TRUMP
April 2021 499 BIDEN
November 2016 497 OBAMA
December 2014 495 OBAMA
April 2020 495 TRUMP
The gist from looking through all the data is that the year before inauguration, regardless of President, sees an increase in gun sales, from what I can tell.
(I have data from January 2007 to May 2021)
Searches outside of that range for general information on gun sale trends shows:
2021 - 18.5 million
2022 - 16.2 million (substantial drop)
2023 - 15.8 million (another drop)
Still, as "guns.com" put it: "Further, 2023 continued a 53-month-long running trend of consumers purchasing over a million firearms per month."
There are now 11 million people residing in the US illegally.
That's not a problem?
11 million? We've had at least that many every year since at least 2005.

That was, on your part, a deflection from the relevant question - and one I doubt you'll answer.
What's the problem?
