Had Trump simply conceded the election, just like every other losing POTUS candidate in history, Ashli Babbitt would still be alive.

Swallow it.

More people died at Kent State for doing a whole helluva lot less. And, boy, were righties cheering that one. I think that's when I first appreciated how some of the rubes and their manipulators actually reveled in being so goddamn feral in their attitudes, expressions, and behaviors. Trump represents the apotheosis of rubedom run by billionaires.

9 | POSTED BY LFTHNDTHRDS

There is obviously evidence of criminal activity by Trump or there could never have been an indictment. No one knows whether or not he would have been convicted and gone to prison or not. Only a trial could have determined that.

And Trumpy is too much of a coward to stand up in a court of law under oath and defend himself from the charges against him. ( 4 coconspirators have already pled guilty)

Also- A grand jury cannot legally indict someone with absolutely no evidence; their role is to determine if there is enough evidence to establish probable cause for a crime, meaning they must have at least some evidence to issue an indictment.

Even with so-called "presidential immunity" Trumpy still had at least 4 criminal indictments against him. (Not to mention 34 felony convictions.)

Moving slowly, carefully and deliberately in a case like this is so crucial for many reasons. One is being in unprecedented territory and the other is he is an ex-president. Two is to get it "right" in such an important investigation and shut up the trolls.

Unfortunately they moved too slowly because others intended to make it last through the election. Yes I am saying the judge and the SCOTUS as much as Garland and Smith being cautious caused it to drag on. Funny how the Trump plants were so obstructionist on this and granted the President Dictator like powers.

The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia and the United States Department of Justice investigated Babbitt's death and made a determination that the shooting was "lawful and within Department policy".

That would be a pretty good case for the defense but I'd imagine Judge Cannon would just not allow it.

I wouldn't say, "empty handed."

The evidence produced so far is pretty damning. And then there is the evidence that has not yet been released.

(I'm looking forward to SC Smith's upcoming report, but that's a different topic ...)

The Justice system of the Country can also be used to delay proceedings.

And Pres-elect Trump seems to have successfully used those delays to his benefit, e.g., your current alias' crowing on this thread.

But I have to ask for it's opinion if Pres-elect Trump has lost the 2024 election. Would he be so free then?

Kinda my point. (Which was why it was in quotes) If that wasn't a murder then killing Ashli while she committing a violent crime was not murder.

Even the Gawds are confused..

Exodus 20:13 is translated as "Thou shalt not kill" in the Authorized (King James) Version, but most modern versions translate it as "You shall not murder"

In Christianity killing is ok. Especially if Gawd directs you to kill.

Murder is not. Apparently. That's why MTG is using the term "murder".
