DOGE discovered that the VA was previously paying ~$380,000/month for minor website modifications. That contract has not been renewed, and the same work is now being executed by 1 internal VA software engineer spending ~10 hours/week.
I understand the media likes to get everyone riled up by harping on Social Security and snap benefits, and scaring people into thinking those are going to be taken away. But let's be clear, a lot of the waste they have found so far hasn't been nefarious. Such as severance payments still being paid to someone who passed away. Elon compared it to leaving the money faucet running. So not everything they're uncovering is criminal behavior, it's simply something that's been overlooked, bad decision making or lack of transparency.

Aside from Sen Bernie Sanders, Rep Ocasio-Cortez and Sen Booker, I've not seen a lot of attempts of persuasion to support Democrats.

What I did see was Sen Schumer surrendering to MAGA in the Senate recently.

That's encouraging - and surprising for Ocala!

It was packed here - easily into the high hundreds, and more likely in the low thousands. The site of the protest was filled completely, and it spilled over with just as many people across the road to the East, with more on the North side. Going was so worth it! Loved all the signs and the creativity people showed!
