Missouri used to be a decent place to live. Now it's just a red state shithole. One didn't even need to look to know that some small town - Dixon, MO - MAGA goober came up with this. Median family income here is 28K per year and almost 25% live below poverty line. The whole town together couldn't scratch up enough gold or silver to buy a lottery ticket or a pack of cigarettes, yet this is what their representative is up to in Jeff City.

Considering we're currently using IOUs to make purchases for goods and supplies. I feel like it would be foolish to spend gold or silver for the same transactions.
Especially since the dollar is losing all value thanks to the efforts of Putin, via the Trump administration, to destroy America.

#2: Hi Heehaw: Missouri sounds like a veritable paradise. In 2021, 113,351 firearm licenses were on record and 48.8% of adults have guns at home. In an average year, 1,378 people die and 4,257 are wounded by guns in Missouri. The "Show Me State" has the fourth-highest rate of gun violence in the US. Now there is legislation for people to walk around and pay for groceries with gold or silver? What could possibly go wrong? Are ammunition vending machines coming to Missouri too? Sources:

OMG. LMAO! What? They're going to have some machine to shave and measure gold shavings from Krugerrand or something for the miniscule number of people who do so they can pay their $10.83 at Walmart?
As if most people have silver and gold laying around, anyway. An average Missourian isn't going to be spending $2-3000+ for an ounce to keep in their dresser drawer. In this day and age, if the average person wants to invest in gold or silver they'll do it by buying into an ETF.

Yeah as usual a not well thought out MAGA't idea.
Been to St. Louis once, on business. Outside of Busch Stadium which was beautiful. It was a RW shithole.

I 100% support people paying cash or with gold/silver etc. What I do not support is people buying their $12 Chipotle using buy now/pay later with 4 installment payments. If you don't have cash, you probably don't really need it. Save your money.

Vending machines require legal tender. You can't buy anything with your grandmother's precios silver tea set you just stole from your sister/mom?

What US city has the highest homicide rate? St. Louis, Missouri St. Louis, Missouri, stands out with a significantly high rate of 54.4 homicides per 100,000 residents. This is the first time since 2021 that St. Louis has had the highest homicide rate out of the 24 select U.S. cities in the Center for Public Safety Initiatives homicide report.
' Missouri's 9.8 firearm homicide rate per 100,000 people during this five-year span (January 1, 2018 " December 31, 2022) was 1.66 times higher than the national rate, 5.4. ' Among the 50 states, only Mississippi (15.4), Louisiana (14.4) and Alabama (11.2) had a higher rate than Missouri's 9.8.
-The problem isn't Missouri, exactly. It's Saint Louis (and to a lesser extent KCMO) St Louis makes the whole state look bad.

Every city on the River is she it whole. A Memphis old-timer told me once it was because of contraband dumping. The blacks that remained in the deep south (where I grew up), on the other hand, were fine and good citizens, at least before the gangsta rap crime culture took over.

Came here to say- before I was sidetracked to address C0Rnh0LiANUS's disparagement of MO and his unthreadly interjection of guns bad m'kay is this:
The ONLY money authorized by the constitution is now considered somehow not legitimate by TDS morons, and TBH most everybody for that matter, because we have been raised for over a century now, conditioned to accept, the FED model of artificial currency based on debt and designed to divert wealth to the blasphemous drug fiend punkass BANKERS via USURY.
Since the creation of the Fed, the U.S. dollar has lost 97% of its value.

St. Louis - 61% Kamala, 37% Trump - and this includes the whole county where most of the murders are in the part of the city that likely voted Kamala 90%.
KC - 59% Kamala, 39% Trump - same comment above on the distribution.
As I have said before, we don't have a red state/blue state divide. We have deep blue shithole cities in red states - this includes CA and NY as well as Missouri.

You're so close to getting it! Why are the red states *hitholes? because "We have deep blue *hithole cities in red states", these cities drag down the stats for entire 'red' states.

Every law KCMO comes up with to try to combat crime is overridden by the GOP majority in Jefferson City. The KCMO police department is run from Jeff City by a board of commissioners appointed by the GOP governor. KC's problems are caused by GOP policy.

This year, Brookings calculations suggest that President-elect Donald Trump's winning base in 2,633 counties represents 86% of the nation's total counties but just 38% of the nation's GDP. Conversely, Vice President Kamala Harris' losing base of 427 much higher-output counties represents 62% of the GDP.
MAGAts are parasites.

"show me" example of thwarted crime reducing "law" or measure please because I don't believe you. The crime is caused by people ignoring existing laws, so more laws? Probably would not matter much.
