There is no single substantiated historical meaning of 86.

Except it has been used extensively to mean get rid of or eliminate or something like "86 the meatloaf" in a restaurant saying we're out of it.

Trump fired Comey in 2017 and has publicly stated he voted for Biden in 2020.

The odds of Comey stumbling on both of these on the beach is pretty low.

Putting this in context. I can imagine if he's on the beach he's probably under the influence of alcohol or something. Maybe just his own ego.

In the moment it may have seemed funny. I think its evident Comey lacks clear headed sound judgement so who knows what irrational stupid thing he might do.

So your question. Actually wanting him to die? Probably not.

But fantasizing about it might provide some people with a cheap thrill.

The part of this that's makes it sort of cautionary is this is a second time he posted something along these lines.

If Comey had just thought it had no specific meaning, he wouldn't have posted it.
