We condemn Putin for trying to exert control over The Ukraine and the rest of the former Soviet Republics, but we do not blink an eye at Trump and the US government doing the exact same things here in the Western Hemisphere. We have ZERO right to be blockading Cuba. We have ZERO right for bombing Venezuela into regime change. We have ZERO right to use force to overthrow or debilitate any left leaning government in the Americas.

What does this mean? I can go to the emergency room right now and receive medical care.

America is evil

If you're saying acting in your own self interest is evil, then I'd agree with you.

The issue is that everyone does. So is everyone evil?

Perhaps, just perhaps Cuba is even more evil??

Yep. After all those years they should have found a way around those US sanctions.

They had, for decades they worked around them using the RoW. Even Israel supplied them.

The only thing that has changed is the threat of raising tariffs on Mexico and Venezuela if they supplied Cuba with fuel. This is why Maduro was "guarded" by Cuban Military.

The US has had a love hate with the Cubans since the commies over threw the democracy.
Cuba experienced a brief period of democracy from 1940 to 1952, characterized by competitive elections and multiple political parties. This democracy ended with a coup by Fulgencio Batista, leading to a long period of authoritarian rule until the Cuban Revolution established a communist government in 1959.

Its crazy to me that Lumpers will support Ukraine as a democracy and attacks by Putin, but when Cuba's democracy was violently overthrown you support the communists.

wild man, I had no idea Americans were so fickle.

So the question is do you support Democracy or Authoritarian Communism?

The Texas grid collapsed in 2020 and killed hundred of people. They froze to death.

The Texas GOP always had the money but they didn't want to spend it.

No one has apologized for the dead, as far as I know. And I live here.

I think that the GOP wants to leave the money it could have used to save people alone so that Trump and his family have an opportunity to steal it.

When it comes to safety and security, natural environment, education, health, and living conditions, Cuba doesn't fall far short.

On the other hand, not so good on enterprise conditions, investment environment, social capital, governance, and personal freedom.

they did change, there was improvement.

Normalizing relations with Cuba, led to the reopening of embassies, increased travel, expanded, direct commercial flights, and eased remittances. It enabled growth in agriculture/tourism sectors, fostered a nascent private sector in Cuba, and prompted a prisoner exchange, though the U.S. trade embargo largely remained

You just wasted your effort, Jbell... Christian good works that are bragged about are worthless... even AI knows this:

AI Overview
Christian good works done to be seen or boasted about are deemed worthless (or "filthy rags") before God, as they replace humility with selfish pride and forfeit heavenly rewards.

True, valuable works are characterized by humility, grace, and doing good in secret for God's glory rather than seeking public admiration.

Boasting Negates Value: Bragging about good deeds transforms them into acts of self-righteousness. Salvation and good works are gifts, leaving no room for human boasting.

Matthew 6 Instructions: Jesus warns against performing deeds publicly for applause, stating those who do so "have already received their reward" on earth.
