I am going to cautiously say he is right with a major "but" - not totally incapable. Europe is waking up. They are expanding military production capabilities. They do have many weapons superior to the US already and they are quickly developing new ones. They are building manufacturing capabilities. They are working with Ukraine like the US but maybe even more so. It will take time but I believe the EU WILL become an equal. They WILL proliferate nuclear war heads throughout the region. They will build their own ICBMs and the like and everything will be new and the latest tech. Not 1960s and 1970s tech. Where Europe lags and likely will remain lagging is power projection capabilities.

The true defining difference that will remain IMHO is that the US is a militarized society.

How on earth do you define "illegals"? I am sure there are undocumented and violators of their Visas but they don't seem to be going after them. Enough to require thousands of agents sweeping neighborhoods? No. Enough to be willfully violating people's Constitutionally protected freedoms day in and day out? Absolutely not.

I mean we have them breaking in doors on American citizens and dragging them into the street from his nap in his underwear. No legals or illegals living at his home. Only his family of Americans.

We have ICE detaining the documented who are in the middle of having their cases adjudicated - meaning they are here legally and have papers to prove it. Sending them to what are in truth concentration camps as bad or worse than our prisons.

There is a right way to things what is happening in MN and elsewhere is not being done in the right way. Either you are a normal human being or you are a terrorist in what is going on. ICE, DHS and BP are acting as Terrorists.

Look, when in the aftermath of 9/11 our then current border and immigration agency was dismantled and transformed into DHS and ICE came about I said this isn't going to go well. Same for the Patriot Act. Guess what? That thought aged well. The Patriot Act in all its forms has been used and abused. DHS for years have been a failed agency. ICE has now been militarized and is using terrorist tactics and violating constitutional protections. Yes, terrorist. The brain washing runs deep in this organization. I don't know how bad Border Patrol is but likely about the same state.

The whole agency needs to be dismantled and built from the ground up.
- It needs to protect our borders yes, but in a humane way.
- It needs to process immigration and visa, in a timely and humane way.
- Immigration violations and deportations are going to result in enforcement, again they need to be dealt with in a fair and humane way.

Sure there are "bad guys" crossing the border. Even Israel prior to the war couldn't stop that in Gaza which is tiny and totally militarized. And sure they need to be dealt with.

What we have going on is not dealing with "bad guys" but rather somewhat random sweeps of where ever documented individuals and even Americans are residing. We know they are residing there how? Oh, ya - they are documented. You have people who are here legally and documented according to our laws being treated like they are terrorist and criminals. Young Children are being separated from parents and sent to what are effectively concentration camps themselves. Prisoners in these camps are being effectively tortured and indeed even murdered. Virtually none of these people are criminals. They are being denied due process and treated like hardened criminals. The thugs in fatigues are detaining Americans as well. They are even sending them out of the country. Really, who are the bad guys here? Who are the terrorists? Bovino has been the thug in charge of these operations in Minnesota. Two murders of citizens on his watch. HE deserves prison.

ABOLISH DHS. ABOLISH ICE. They are failed organizations that do not measure up to America's beliefs and standards.

Hawaii's position is supported by the MAGA created new (ridiculous) requirements under Bruen.
Under Bruen, for a gun law to be legal, it must align with our "historical tradition of firearm regulation."
And there is ample historical precedent of guns being banned from establishments.

You mean come unarmed or check your guns with the sheriff when you enter town? You know in towns like Tombstone, Dodge City, Abilene, and Deadwood? Guns were banned in town period. That IS our historic tradition of firearm regulation.
