The cease-fire was always just a Trump fantasy.

The US govt, markets, and a lot of media told you there's peace with Iran and shipping is flowing. What's actually happened is the war entered a new phase: the fight for Hormuz. Trump lost his war so badly the US aim now is just to get back to the pre-war status quo. I explain in @ms.now, ICYMI:

Tom Nichols points out:

The Trump administration, for its part, bumbled into this war without a strategy. Instead, it relied on bad assumptions, outdated information, and the president's gut feelings. It assumed"because the president wished very hard"that the Iranian regime would collapse quickly. Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (who encouraged Trump to go to war) ignored years of analysis and war-gaming from the military and the intelligence community, and then were caught flat-footed when the Iranians closed the strait and choked the international economy, the one thing everyone else in the world knew they would do. The administration has since tried to bomb its way out of this war, but without the ability to hold territory, the United States is now merely depleting its stocks of expensive ordnance to little strategic effect.

"I taught strategy at the Naval War College to military officers and senior civilians for a long time," Nichols writes. "The subject does not have a lot of hard-and-fast rules; wars share common characteristics but each conflict has its own peculiarities and exigent circumstances. One good guideline, however, is to avoid threatening your enemy and then immediately announcing that you really have no stomach for a fight. Strong leaders keep their own counsel and let their actions speak for them; weak leaders make threats and then broadcast how much they don't want to carry them out."

"A Corrupt and Sycophantic Officer Corps

Hitler was selfish when it came to promoting officers. His primary concerns were that they were loyal to him alone and that they were not talented enough to challenge him for power.

This led to sycophants being appointed over more meritorious officers.

Furthermore, a system of bribery arose throughout the war so that Hitler could maintain those loyalties." more

The similarities just keep coming.

"Iran, Not Trumpf, Is in Control of This War"

A most familiar and losing refrain.

Todah rabah!

I wonder how Rahm Emanuel's speech eviscerating ICC-indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu at Tel Aviv University today transpired?

Bibi -- the demented serial killer of the Middle East -- probably didn't like it one atom.

"Dear Stupid Americans:

Don't listen to this self-hating Jew Rahm Emanuel or Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and keeping sending me billions of dollars for Israel's world class universal healthcare system while you Americans suffer with the BBB and austerity measures.

And your tax dolllars funds the Israeli Death Forces to kill Muslims wholesale in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran, so keep signing the checks and vote for an AIPAC candidate on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026. Suckers.

Signed,

Bibi"

R5D4 likes to flag himself as an obvious Zionist shill every chance he gets. Poor incontinent boomer has been indoctrinated with spoon-fed fecal flapdoodle for 98% of his adult (sic) life. This is his last chance to gas before he cashes out.

GruB Gott:

This Israeli troll is far less sophisticated than A. Fiend or CutiePie.

Thank goodness for *Killfile*.

How others read the claptrap of holograms is a mystery to me.

But R5D4 quite nicely puts my OPs and comments into the Flagged and Recently Flagged Comments sections, spreading the emeth for me.

My non-blogging friends read drudge.com. Although they do not comment online (yet), they get to see this mishegoss from Israel.

Ultimately, we should be grateful to her for helping us spread the word.

Is the serial child rapist going to use precision bombing to vaporize more Iranian schoolgirls?

Oh yes, the usual suspects here cheering for Iran. Here is a question for all you terrorists: If our plan actually works out and the people take back Iran and they become a free trading nation resulting in peace in the middle east how will you spin it into a bad thing, because you know you will.

Remember those halcyon days when Der Dotard declared that he knew more than all 'the generals'? Good times. He is now demonstrating his knowledge as well as his true abilities in 'making a deal'. Iran is not some company trying to lease space in an office building, or a drywall contractor seeking payment for work completed long ago. Iran is a country populated with millions who literally seek the death of America and the death of Israel. They ain't playin'. Trump so far misunderstands and underestimates his adversary that his foolishness is on display in front of the whole world.

European countries are now acting under the belief that this Iran mess will be resolved in a manner that will include the tolling of every oil tanker coming to any destination other than China, Russia or North Korea. We once had nuclear inspectors on the ground in Iran, and soon we will have bursars paying the Iranian regime, on behalf of Americans--and no nuclear inspectors. That's no deal about which to crow...

"Our plan" lol.

You know..

If frogs had wings they would not bump their little arses all the time.

btw- Nice Concept of a Plan.

You say you want a revolution?

Yeah. We'd all love to see the plan.

Being against a stupid and unnecessary war isn't cheering for the other side. You warmongers said the same thing about Iraq, where the US was "welcomed with rose petals".

The "plan", which was just "bomb them and we'll get everything we want in a couple of days" didn't work and will not work. Bombing people does not make them love you. The hardliners are still in charge and are more hardline than ever.

How many more months or years of "the Strait is open and they're begging for a deal" every single day is it going to take for you to finally realize Trump is not telling the truth and has no idea what to do?
