Of course they are.... and of course Nazi Steve is pushing it.
They have their model to follow, after all.
1933, after creating a disaster as an excuse to implement:
"The decree nullified many of the key civil liberties of German citizens.
With the Nazis in powerful positions in the German government, the decree was used as the legal basis for the imprisonment of anyone considered to be opponents of the Nazis, and to suppress publications not considered "friendly" to the Nazi cause.
The decree is considered by historians as one of the key steps in the establishment of a one-party Nazi state in Germany."

Step 1 to dissolving the Judiciary.
The legislative branch has already ceased to function.

They have already suspended it for non-citizens. And for citizen children of non-citizens.
So at least they're being honest I guess. They will suspend it for all citizens next.

The Magna Carta was signed in 1215 It guaranteed due process of law, freedom from arbitrary imprisonment, trial by jury,
Just saying, the western world has figured out how to give people their day in court for over 800 years

This is a very dangerous place to go since once this has been invoked, there would be nothing stopping Trump from arresting virtually anyone he deems to not be supporting America, which in his mind, is becoming more and more to mean himself.

So, he wants to suspend the Constitution because he finds it ~inconvenient?~
And then there is Pres trump who said recently that he does not knw if he needs to support the Constitution, even though he has sworn an oath to do so twice.

If you think that's bad, just wait until Dark Brandon gets back into office.
It was all part of the plan. Mwa ha ha.

" President Donald Trump has been personally involved in discussions inside the administration over potentially suspending habeas corpus, a legal procedure that allows people to challenge their detention in court, two people familiar with the consideration told CNN.

I'm from the "Second Amendment crowd." I have no clue what the Second Amendment has to do with an article about invoking a Congressional, not Presidential, power. Talk to me.

My view ...
It is not about the Second Amendment per se.
It is about the objections raised when some folk think their Second Amendment rights have been violated.
Yet, those folk (and, to be specific, I am not saying you) seem to be strangely quiet when Pres Trump says, ~I don't know~ when asked if he should support the Constitution.

I too am "looking" at not obeying the law anymore.
As soon as the PURGE officially begins.
When the President is above the law then there's no law but the "law" is then whatever the Mad King says it is.

Yeah I wish some barrel sucker could tell me why the second amendment is so awesome, but the 5th and 14th don't at all.
And spare me the "constitution only applies to citizens" crap. That is a lie and you know it.
The 5th says no PERSON shall be arrested without due process. And the 14th amendment makes sure that amendment applies to the states as well.
No PERSON. not "no citizen". Not "no legally Present person". No PERSON shall be arrested without due process.

No PERSON shall be arrested without due process.
Their theory is that those rules don't apply when the USA is under invasion, which they say it is.

The whole 5th amendment is about a capital or criminal prosecution.
As Lumpers are well aware being in the country illegally is only a civil crime.

So long as the government follows procedural due process a person can be deported
#37 | Posted by oneironaut at 2025-05-11 07:48 PM | Reply
Yes, the Fifth Amendment applies to undocumented immigrants, just as it does to citizens and other non-citizens. The Fifth Amendment protects individuals from being compelled to incriminate themselves, and it guarantees due process, meaning they cannot be deprived of life, liberty, or property without a fair legal process. Here's a more detailed explanation: Right to Remain Silent: Undocumented immigrants, like all individuals, have the right to remain silent when questioned by law enforcement. They cannot be forced to answer questions that could incriminate them. Due Process: The Fifth Amendment's due process clause ensures that everyone, including undocumented immigrants, is entitled to a fair legal process. This means they have the right to a fair hearing, the right to be represented by counsel (even if it's at their own expense), and the right to present evidence in their defense. Limitations: While the Fifth Amendment provides significant protections, there are some limitations, particularly in the context of immigration law. For example, the government can deport undocumented immigrants without a trial if certain legal requirements are met. Examples: In deportation proceedings, the government must provide a fair hearing, but the standard of evidence required is lower than in criminal court. Undocumented immigrants can still be deported without a full criminal trial if they are considered a danger to public safety or are involved in certain crimes. The Fifth Amendment also applies to those in immigration detention and prohibits the government from using excessive force or imposing conditions of confinement that amount to punishment before an adjudication of guilt. In essence, the Fifth Amendment protects undocumented immigrants from being forced to incriminate themselves and ensures that they are treated fairly in legal proceedings, although there are specific limitations within immigration law.
