Noem says, "this didn't turn violent until we uncovered fraud in Minnepolis."

Just a reminder to folks, the fraud was discovered in 2021 (who was president then?), was sent to the FBI to investigate. The FBI started charging individuals in 2022 (still ongoing), and have been convicting the perpetrators.

Pretti's death was a public execution, carried out by paramilitary thugs acting with impunity, their actions instantly sanctioned by the regime.

It's MAGA's message to America.

Kristi Noem's eyes are as dead as those of a fish. A better illustration of the sociopath's predatory stare is hard to find.

Things turned violent, Ms. Noem, because you and Donald Trump are violent people who are overtly doing violence to achieve political and (quite insane) personal ends.

Trump feels the screws being turned on him. And even if there were no turning screws, there's every reason to think his ego basks in the killing. He's not done killing people yet.

Anent to this I sincerely think that Trump murdered Epstein. Trump's history as a "human being" screams it. If we are lucky enough to survive this present mess, I hope the entire world takes another hard look at the case.

Like it or not, this is starting to look less like a protest and more like a war zone.

When people aren't just chanting, but actively interfering with arrests, blowing whistles to warn targets, swarming agents, and escalating every encounter, it stops being "free speech" and becomes street conflict.

And once that dynamic takes over, it's only a matter of time before someone gets killed. Not that it's "inevitable," but because chaos plus adrenaline plus weapons always ends the same way.

Instigators don't get to pretend they're innocent when they're deliberately turning every enforcement action into a confrontation.

I don't accept the idea that agents are "out of control" when shots are fired. These are trained professionals operating in a high stakes environment, and when they use force, it's because their training tells them they're dealing with a lethal situation. We may not like the outcome, but this isn't random panic. It's what happens when you mix a volatile crowd, armed resistance and nobody backs down. These agents are trained to kill. It's part of their job description if and when it's needed. I'm not endorsing violence, but like I said, this is becoming a war zone.

The way it went down, it looks like they weren't trying to send him to the hospital. Whatever their intent, they wanted him dead, not wounded

This is exactly how a city spirals. Crowds get bolder, law enforcement gets jumpier, and the gap between "order" and "violence" disappears.

If people really want to prevent more deaths, the answer isn't more hysteria. It's de-escalation and discipline and consequences for anyone who crosses the line into obstruction or violence.

Corky,

This is about deportation and agents arresting targeted, probably violent, individuals.

And the protestors are placing themselves in the middle.

People who voted for Trump, want to see him address the border and the undocumented immigrant problem.

There's no pretty way to get this goal accomplishmented.

Like it or not, protestors are putting themselves at risk and the results are in the news.

I don't buy your "inexperienced undertrained thugs" description.

This is likely the sort of scenario they have trained for, and for many this is the first time they had to use that training.

Again...the protestors are putting themselves at risk and no one is seeking them out just to shoot them.

Politico reporter Kyle Cheney shared some of the cases he's tracked in a thread on the social media platform X late Saturday. "This is one that stands out," he said of Sonik Manaserian, an Iranian woman of Armenian ethnicity who is a member of the Baha'i faith.

According to an order out of the Central District of California in Manaserian's case, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) "arrested a chronically ill, 70-year-old woman, who came to this country to avoid religious persecution and applied for asylum, who has lived here peacefully for 26 years and complied with all check-in requirements and other conditions of release, who has no known criminal record and poses no threat to anyone, without notice or the process required by their own regulations and without any plan for removing her from this country, then kept her in detention for months without sufficient medical care"and they do not have any argument to offer to even try to justify these actions."

One called it murder. Some need more information. How policing experts see the Pretti shooting.
www.nbcnews.com

... The Border Patrol's killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis has revived concerns about whether immigration enforcement officers are properly trained to deal with protesters.

In Alex Pretti's final moments, he was down on all fours on a frigid Minneapolis street, with multiple federal agents on top of him.

One agent emerged from the scrum with a gun taken from Pretti's holster, a bystander's video shows. An instant later, another agent opened fire at point-blank range.

Then more shots were fired, leaving Pretti motionless on the sidewalk.

Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse, was soon pronounced dead.

Some policing experts said the shooting appeared unjustified and one said it amounted to murder. Others said they could not form a judgment until they knew more, particularly what threat the agent who fired thought he faced at that moment.

The killing of Pretti, the second fatal shooting by a federal officer in Minneapolis this month, has also revived concerns about whether immigration enforcement officers are properly trained to deal with protesters.

"This video raises a lot of questions," said Chuck Wexler, executive director of the Police Executive Research Forum, a Washington, D.C.-based organization of current and former law enforcement officials focused on improving policing.

"What happened that made these agents feel threatened? That should be the question that everyone is trying to get to the bottom of."

Whether the killing will be the subject of a thorough investigation remains an open question.

Multiple Trump administration officials have already defended the actions of the Border Patrol agent who opened fire, in some cases making claims that run counter to videos of the confrontation. ...

I've never had a problem with actual enforcement.

But this isn't even enforcement.

Not when you're telling people "be legal" then close their case and arrest them when they show up for their hearing (ie being legal).

Not when you're changing the legal status of entire groups of people then kidnapping them off the streets.

Not when you're claiming to be only going after criminals then release internal numbers that you're doing anything but. (If you have to lie, you're not it...).

There is literally nothing right about what is being done because the end goal is NOT immigration enforcement. It's just cover for any manner of illicit or illegal ends this administration is after.

Let's see: 12,000,000 undocumented immigrants (the number we keep hearing that came in during Biden)

Biden was in office 1,460 days.

12,000,000 / 1,460 = 8,219 undocumented immigrants every 24 hours

The largest aircraft (as for holding passengers) is the Airbus A380, which holds about 480 passengers.

So, if 8,219 undocumented immigrants were flown in each day by Biden, and the most a passenger airline can carry is 480 passengers ...

... that means Biden had 17 A380 flights, completely filled with 480 undocumented immigrants each, flying into the USA every 24 hours for 1,460 days in a row.

Do these liars and cowards ever think before posting? **

** Rhetorical, no response needed.

"I said "contributed" to their death. Which is what they both did"

Had ANY of the police officers followed training and protocol, both would still be alive. That sounds like the cops did the lion's share of "contributing".

You're basically carrying water for murderers...because of the letter after their name.

Dan,

You put the blame on law enforcement instead of the people who are obstructing them.

That's bright!

If law enforcement was doing things more like a police state, I could see it.

But they are enforcing laws that exist for a reason.

NONE of which came in under Trump, according to the fantasy...

Because law enforcement wasn't following its own rules. Why do you keep pretending they were???

Why are you giving OBVIOUS breaches of protocol a pass?

Biden deported more immigrants than Trump...

"In his first term, Joe Biden deported and expelled more immigrants than Donald Trump did during his first term.

As of January 2026, data from the first year of Trump's second term indicates that deportation rates under the current administration have remained lower than those recorded during the final year of the Biden administration."

"If law enforcement was doing things more like a police state, I could see it."

They're entering homes without a warrant, kidnapping citizens and undocumenteds alike, and they've killed three people in three weeks, compared to ZERO cop killings of citizens in the prior fiscal year in MLPS.

What more would they have to do, for you to consider it a police state?

Maybe try urinating into a fan, instead.

Just like these people, it brings them a brief sense of calm and a release of physical and emotional tension.

Perhaps it is the only way they can feel alive.

BullJohnson is a Nazi and needs to be treated as such.

You cannot compromise with Nazis.

You cannot try to find mutual understanding with Nazis.

BullJohnson, BullBringer, LftHndTurds, Boazo ... will cheer your death at the hands of ICE goons just as they have done with the murder of Reene Good and Alex Pertti.

Germans didn't realize the danger the Nazi Party presented, it seems like a lot of Americans aren't fully accepting the dangers the MAGA Party presents.

Your mistake is assuming posters don't fully support what's happening in Minnesota.

Even when they're telling you they do.

Not sure if any of you venture on to rightwing news forums, but the bloodlust there isn't as sugar coated as what we see here on the DR.

Deplorable Trumping MAGAts are demanding more deaths and bloodshed. They feel like ICE has to get more aggressive and violent to force all Americans to fall inline.

Meanwhile Democrats are writing strongly worded speeches and singing Kumbaya.

Following the Holocaust, European (Ashkenazi) Jews were given some measure of justice by the Nuremberg Trials and the promise of a homeland in the Middle East. The unfortunate displacement of Arabs already living there has led us to where we are today in the Middle East.

Be that as it may, following the Ottoman Empire's 1915 genocide of the Armenians, there were no international tribunals seeking justice for the victims. During local trials in Armenia in the early 1920s, some Ottoman functionaries and army officers eagerly testified about the atrocities committed by their comrades. They were aghast and appalled by what they witnessed.

But the Ottoman criminals didn't face justice and lived in exile in post WWI Germany, Austria, and other parts of Europe.

So the Armenians organized a list of the organizers of the 1915 genocide and successfully deployed assassins against them.

After the Trumpf junta falls on Tuesday 7 Nov 2028, if no justice prevails for the victims of ICE in 2029 or 2030, I imagine some junta apparatchiks like Stephen Miller or Greg Bovino may suffer similar consequences.

Dan,

"Because law enforcement wasn't following its own rules. Why do you keep pretending they were???"

Ok...so now...let's say you're in charge.

What do you suggest be done about the ICE mission?

Handling the shootings is a whole other problem.

Just stay on the mission ICE is handling.

What would you want to happen next?

Don't just sit there being a problem-pointer-outer.

What is your idea of what to do about ICE assigned mission whatever you think it is or should be?

#97 | Posted by BillJohnson at 2026-01-26 02:40 PM | Reply

"What do you suggest be done about the ICE mission?"

Complete stand down. Back to the barracks for retraining.

Crusty Gnome must go to Congress and explain what she will do to prevent further murdered American Citizens in the streets of America.

Immediately stop breaking the law and militarizing our streets.

Then you can GFI for being such an ignorant Arse and voting for and support this unAmerican behavior which allowed it to happen.

Donner,

"Immediately stop breaking the law"

When should they resume their mission?

Will local police start going after the undocumented criminals or do you believe there aren't any?

#99 | Posted by Billjohnson at 2026-01-26 03:12 PM | Reply

Donner,

What about protestors who will surely still be out there interfering with getting undocumented criminals.

Any repercussions for hindering law enforcement?

They act like the there is no tomorrow coming. There is always a morning after.

I wonder who will play Stephen Miller in the Movie that will surely be made about all this. But I know who will play Greg Bovino. It will be Sean Pean. Who portrayed him so well already as Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw in "One Battle After Another".

The protesters in Minneapolis are not obstructing. They are observing and witnessing the lawless actions being taken by ICE.

It's pretty simple actually.

The more the Government Treads on the Peoples Civil Rights the angrier the People will become and they will come into the streets. Stop violating the Civil Rights of Americans and for Gods sake stop murdering people and maybe Americans won't feel so threatened and the need to evolved.

I bet most of these concerned Citizens pouring into the streets actually have better things to do with their time.

Also, do you agree ICE Agents who get a bounty shouldn't get a bounty if it's a legal citizen?
