It's not complicated

Poll after poll shows the same thing. The American people know that the current economic system is rigged

The media pundits have written article after article desperately trying to understand why progressive candidates, despite being heavily outspent, keep defeating establishment Democrats in primaries around the country.

Well, the answer is not complicated.

Whether it is a corrupt campaign finance system, unprecedented income and wealth inequality, a broken and wildly expensive healthcare system, the enormous threats posed by AI or an immoral and destructive foreign policy, progressives are talking about the real issues facing working families.

And they are providing real solutions. Establishment Democrats are not.

"Poll after poll shows the same thing. The American people know that the current economic system is rigged. The very rich get richer, while working families struggle.

Today, while 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, the billionaire class has never ever had it so good.

We now have more income and wealth inequality than at any time in American history. The top 1% now own more wealth than the bottom 93% and one man, Elon Musk, owns more wealth than the bottom 50% of US households.

Not surprisingly, working families are tired of status quo politics and the same old, same old establishment policies that have failed them for years. They want change, real change " and are supporting progressive candidates who are fighting for that change."

... Poll after poll shows the same thing. The American people know that the current economic system is rigged ...

Yup.

Democrat American voters seem to be voting more against the incumbent than actually for the DSA.

Nonetheless, the moving of voters towards the DSA and away from the billionaires seems to have created a major issue for the GOP and MAGA.

How do they (i.e., the GOP and MAGA) fight that?

By calling nearly everything they do not agree with "communism?"

I mean, you can see that GOP and MAGA angst here on this site. It almost amounts to troll bait, it seems to be so prolific.

The voters' apparent move away from the billionaire oligarchy seems to have them (i.e., the GOP and MAGA) very, oh so very., concerned.

Just look at how much time they have been expending and expounding upon the topic...

Its a toss up at this point.

But isn't it typical that the administration currently in power typically loses the midterm? Now the fight is between middle of the road D's and the DSA candidates.

Democratic socialists are giving the GOP a gift

*** SiriusXM Radio Rakshasa Megyn Kelly: ""Free Childcare is for People Who Do Nothing" ***

"The Democratic Party's race to the left continues in earnest with a new win from a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, this time in Florida. In Florida, of all places. What's next? Mississippi?

"Last night DSA member Angie Nixon defeated retired Army lieutenant colonel and prominent resistance champ Alex Vindman in the Democratic primary for Senate in Florida. This guy is a left-wing hero, so how'd she take him down?

"She's DSA, that's how. Nixon advocates for abolishing ICE, free childcare " I love the word free. What it means is actual contributing members of society will pay for the free childcare of people who do nothing.

"Ashley Moody is going to be the opponent of Angie Dixon, and Ashley Moody is the current incumbent. She got the job, thanks to " she's a Republican " she got the job because Marco Rubella was elevated, and Gov. Ron DeSatan appointed her to replace Rubella when he became the secretary of state.

"But now they're running to see who's going to fill out the last couple of years of Rubello's term. And, look, the Republicans should win because it's Florida, and it's been since 2012, since we've had, I think, a Democrat elected to the US Senate or to a higher office in Florida.

"But who the hell knows, given the DSA is on some sort of a tear?"

~snip~

The harder the rightwing attack, the more they are panicking.

I just hope no one ever tells Bernie that 1Nut claims to have once been a supporter of his... I mean, at his age, that could cause a heart attack!

The article is a lengthy outlay of proposals and policies that a lot of Dems, left, progressive, and or moderate, could support.

Unless they are supposed former Bernie supporters who spend their time obfuscating for DJT.

Like Dems nationally the commies here are desperate to keep the stated and printed goals of the DSA under wraps and out of sight of the idiot children who make up a very large portion of the people polled..

. Idiot children forced to miss school for no reason by FAUCI and stayed at home watching tic-toc or listening online to profs who never had a real job their entire worthless life.

--even Dems like the house minority leader who was scared to death of answering a simple question like... " Are you in favor of removing articles 1,2 and 3 of the constitution?".
I'm sure you remember how every commie here swore that the one doing that was going to be trump

And another prime reason the commies here want no real info allowed out is this 2 faced lying hypocrite.... A trait officially endorsed by the DR " patients"

---DSA co-chair - whose family escaped the "capitalist oppression by the US" in Peru by coming to the US lives in a $1.5 million home in New York, purchased by his parents.
Gustavo L. Gordillo - NYC Democratic Socialists of America - claimed on national television that his family was forced to emigrate from Peru because of the "imposition of capitalism and American imperialism," saying the US is reason for the economic hardship in Peru that pushed immigrants like his parents to the United States.

He and fellow DSA members have repeatedly attacked private property ownership and landlords saying that no-one should have a "Constitutional right to double-digit returns on their investment"

His parents are immigrants from Peru, and own multiple properties in New York and South Florida.
... Records show that they own a $3.1 million, 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-bath home in Boca Raton and another $3 million five-bedroom, seven-bath home in Weston.
... Gordillo's dad founded DraftPros, a telecommunications engineering and construction firm with operations in Florida,Houston, Chicago, and Lima, Peru.

-Republicans are calling him a socialist hypocrite - who denounces wealth, landlords, and private property while benefiting from wealth, (family) landlords and private property. See less

A poll is not winning.

It's a .........poll.

JFC, one thing is for certain..some folks are THAT desperate for good news.

didn't see a link, so I hope that's true.

but....how many folks who proclaim to "know that the current economic system is rigged" really believe that?

How many people on this site complaining about our system being rigged live quite well?

Americans are stupid and selfish. People on this site are Americans.......make the connection.

All this complaining about establishment democrats....how in the ---- do you think they became establishment democrats in the first place?

They won their seat by being a progressive democrat. They won re-election by inching closer to the middle on issue after issue.

That's how they beat republican challengers.

It's an ongoing cycle that never ends.

The only problem is being too ------- dumb to see it right in front of your eyes.

I kind of disagree. I find that the party primary they elect the most extreme candidate, and then for the general they walk it in as far as they dare. Also the district matters, if its a BLUE district then they can be more extreme, hence the DSA winning BLUE districts.

What is happening now is things are so out of whack for the avg college graduate, there's no going back to the middle.

This pattern is broken now. Boomers have all the assets, and the kids are out on their asses hoping for crumbs.

You don't see how first gen parents treat their children vs N+1 gen.

How many rich rich boomer parents are buying homes for their children? 0%

I even read the kid was setup in the Electrical Union, and couldn't even get out of being an apprentice despite parents paying the union.

That's exactly true.

And none of this is really that new. I imagine the frustration is higher than before but it's the same set of choices.

DSA is just a new word for more progressive democrats that are challenging establishment democrats.

Everyone is acting like this is all so new.

It's not. Youngsters bitching about opportunities. Not new. wealth inequality....not new.

I get why " you people" think this is a gop crushing development because the sources you're allowed to read are making it sound that way.

Truth is in Florida for example... DSA was 1 for 3 in just the primary... El-Sayed barely won primary and the nut job in fl. Who did win is certifiably crazy.

BTW... 3 major Dem money sources have moved their money to the Rogers campaign..

I tend to believe what people do over what people say.

This might be why you're so confused about things, you tend believe what you're told and not what you're eyes are seeing.

This is correct.

Its like driving a car, then saying you believe in GW, and are against nuclear power. At that point the person doesn't believe anything really, just hopes to get laid.

"Poll after poll shows the same thing. The American people know that the current economic system is rigged"

Long term capital gains are taxed lower than labor income.

That's just one example how the economy is rigged in favor of the rich.

Income, in the form of a loan against your own assets, isn't taxed at all.

" Long term capital gains are taxed lower than labor income."

Same with qualified dividends.

A trust fund baby can open up $55,000 of dividend checks from say, Johnson and Johnson, and owe no federal taxes.

Meanwhile, a janitor who profits $55,000 by the sweat of his brow owes over $10,000 in federal taxes.

Of course, the janitor isn't dealing with the trust fund baby's nemesis:

Opening all those dividend checks could lead to some nasty paper cuts.

Having assets is the literal difference between being being poor.

It's rigged so that rich people have economic benefits that poor people can't afford to use.
