Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a member of the court's conservative wing, wrote a concurrence explaining that he thought the proposal may be within the authority of the USPS, but that "state and local election officials do not have sufficient time to reasonably implement the rule before the elections."

Interesting parallel with Bush v Gore in 2000, where they were trying force changes to rules in how votes were counted before an impending deadline.

And now we have one more reason to make sure to show up and vote during the midterm elections...if the Republican Party keeps both Houses of Congress, they can push this through and take their time about it.
I do hope Alito resigns fairly soon, he is a disgrace to Yale Law School, who seemed to have taught him that the Constitution is a suggestion, not the primary authority.

This will not stop here.

Those who can avoid voting by mail should do so, at all costs.

Remember all those photos of folks in other countries standing in line for hours on end, just to vote? I've done that, in Ohiehomie, standing in a line, once in the freezing rain, the other with a thunderstorm bearing down on the polling place, in each case for four hours. Americans should be prepared to vote as early as possible, in as secure a location as possible, e.g., at your local board of elections.

ICE thugs and Proud Boys will be out, causing mischief on election day, attempting to chase folks away and intimidate those who hang around to exercise their rights. And once again, African Americans: get out and vote. This may be the last time in your lives when you are able to do so...

What are the odds that the orange chomo and USPS continue with the plans anyways?

What is the SCOTUS going to do to him if he does? Nothing.
