On the topic of a negligent discharge, I still haven't seen any video indicating that that happened.

I've had a handgun I was shooting accidentally go off in my hand when I wasn't intending to fire and I probably jumped like a motherf*&^er because it surprises the hell out of you.

There would have been something observable in the actions of the guy in the gray coat if he had accidentally fired that gun and, likely, reaction from at least a few of the agents around Pretti to the sound of the gun firing off to their side.

Yeah - and with a gay dude, no less. LMAO!

I find the gun community to be far more diverse than one would expect. I feel like I've noticed (anecdotally) an uptick in trans folks using the range that I frequent and also remember an Axios (IIRC) piece covering militia movements, part of which presented the flip side of folks on the left who were organizing into armed groups to train, learn and share camaraderie with.

Not a gun person but I thought the solution was put a custom grip on the firearm, to match your hands.

Sometimes that can help with the width. Newer gen pistols have interchangeable backstraps to give different widths from front to back depending on hand size.

Usually, the only remedy for length is extended magazines with a grip extension and, if it's a carry gun, you start to get into issues of losing concealability or comfort.

This is actually a selling point for the Sig model Pretti had. The fire control group is the serialized part, and it can be pulled and inserted into all manner of aftermarket frames for different grip sizes, widths, textures, colors ect ect.

Yep. I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and why I hated what others were raving about.

When the suggested extended mag pinched the flesh of my ring finger knuckle enough to blood blister I just said f*&^ it, not for me.

Felt like it also shot like s*&^ anyway. Snappy, harsh recoil for a 9mm. Ended up being happy with the p365 xmacro comp and haven't looked back.

I've been looking into Canik. Not gonna lie, the price initially put me off a bit but after seeing a lot of reviews and such they seem really solid for a fraction of the price of comparable quality guns.

Buuuuuuuut I'm pretty sure my wife would be kinda pissed if I came home with another gun.

Same here regarding the standard compacts and microcompacts.

Everyone I talked to swore by the S&W M&P Shield 2.0. I hated it. My hands were so mismatched to the grip size I kept accidentally dropping the magazine while shooting and getting feed failures.

There is no excuse for Pretti being shot 10 times or more.

I forget the name of the phenomenon, but it's documented that in tense situations (especially with poor training IIRC), it's not uncommon for officers to react to gunfire by firing themselves even if they don't necessarily see or understand the threat. It's a psychological response to duress/stress.

That has NOTHING to do with search warrants. That's the DOJ claiming they can use their arrest warrant to come in and find a suspect. Not execute a search warrant.
That you don't know the difference would be laughable if it wasn't so disappointing.

The facts are ICE is using an administrative warrant rationale to conduct judicial warrant actions. It's their own confirmed policy and there are multiple videos of it being implemented at residences in Minneapolis.

Most of what is shown on those weapons is easily found at any store or on any AR in the hands of a tacticool neckbeard at a random range.

Suppressors aren't that uncommon (even though they're not terribly useful for 5.56, so those may not even be 5.56 caliber weapons...).

M Lok rails are absolutely normal. I have three AR-style weapons with M Lok free floating rails as they're standard on most current gen AR models.

Flared mag well? Meh.

Pouches? Meh.

The lasers are the cherry on the goober cake, though. These idiots aren't conducting night raids, will probably never conduct night raids and I'm 99% certain they're not trained for night operations as they're not even trained for day operations.
