I come here to vent and practice my arguments to see how logical they really are when I put them in writing.

Never used to have them up here but they have come north in the last 10 or so years.

I understand her sentiment, but saying that Trumpy can say any and all he wants, regardless as how tasteless and classless his comments. Maybe the attempted shooter has been influenced by Trumpy over the past year or two - no-one can say one way or another.

Have you tried to buy a nice cut of beef lately?

We went to a nice steak restaurant the other day.

There was only 4 of us. We each had a filet and a drink. The bill was over $300 dollars.

It was nucking futs.

So I went to the store to buy my own steaks.

They were about $30 a lb.

I bought fish instead. Which also was not cheap.

It's not "legitimate business".

But it is the kind of business Trumpy and Nutty Yahoo! allow and even prefer.

Israelis should be ashamed. Americans should be upset.

Exactly.

Whoever gets the most powerful AI first wins.

At least that is what we think right now.

While there is at least some truth to that in actuality we have no idea what the world will look like after the Singularity. We are only guessing. Our Sci-Fi movies give us hints of things to come.

Like with a black hole there is an event horizon. You will not know and will not be able to detect that you have passed the point of no return. But once you do there is no turning back.

It's quite possible we have already crossed the event horizon of AI.

I think there is already no turning back.

How will it be monetized? I'm having trouble seeing the general benefit to mankind.
