The way I see politics, neither liberals nor conservatives are right about everything.

But from all appearances, most people are stuck inside a political box, insisting that their side is always right and the other side is always wrong.

Can you name one issue on which you believe conservatives are right and liberals are wrong?

I don't hide. Posters here just like to claim that I do because they think it makes for a clever insult.

I participate in threads, and the same regulars repeatedly show up to insult anyone who challenges the prevailing opinions.

Perhaps many conservatives have simply grown tired of dealing with people who rarely think outside their political box and repeat the same talking points over and over.

It is not difficult to understand why this site has so few conservative posters.

The moderators do very little to enforce basic civility.

Yeah, but those sites aren't populated by people who spew hatred and vitriol, and you never know who might be one post away from completely losing it.

It isn't simply a matter of being tracked. Those sites are not personally angry with me for expressing opposing views.

This site is filled with strangers, some of whom show genuine hostility toward people they disagree with.

So when someone invokes the moderator's name as though he has some inside knowledge, I think I'm entitled to question it.

But Lft invoked the moderator's name, and his comment genuinely alarmed me.

If he is going to make that kind of insinuation, then he should explain exactly what he meant instead of tossing it out and walking away.

So yes, I want his comment to receive some attention.

My concern is that Rogers Cadenhead owns and moderates the site, so naturally he has considerable control over what happens here.

I have always tried to stay within the rules, even while posting opinions that are unpopular with most of the members.

If LFTHNDTHRDS really let the cat out of the bag and Rcade has been privately discussing me with other posters, I find that genuinely troubling.

I have always enjoyed writing here and expressing an opposing point of view, but it may be time to leave if I cannot trust the person running the site.

Knowing that he also has access to information such as my IP address brings the issue of trust to the forefront.

Are you insinuating that the owner and moderator of this site discusses members with other posters, either here or off-site?

If so, the optics are terrible.

A moderator privately discussing or targeting members because they post unpopular opinions would destroy any confidence that the site is being moderated fairly.
