At a minimum she should be disbarred.

Anyone can report a lawyer for bad behavior, and the steps move from local bar intake to a state supreme court order.

There are things all the states involved need to be better at.

Southern California could get water from the north of its own state if push came to shove. Which it just may come to. Some shoving.

If the river ran dry where would Arizona and Nevada get its water from?

So Trumpy now wants to jump into the middle of the Water Wars which have been going on in the south west since I don't know ... 1920?

Agreed. Every place is different. Didn't mean to be bossy. Just concerned.

Here in California where I live I always keep several go bags ready. Even if there are no fires. Because we have a bunch of us with pets AND we get random earthquakes.

But if we smell smoke we have our bags and papers always ready. We watch the reports. And we start coordinating with family members as to where we might meet up in an emergency if we get separated.

We see the smoke from your fires from space. And we are already discussing our fire escape plans. That's how nervous we get here.

My father was a fireman. My brother was a fireman. My son was a Smoke Jumper. As you can imagine we take wildfires very seriously here.

"So what should we do, then? Not cut any water? Or...just not cut water to California, but cut the other 5 states that receive water from this source?

Maybe we should just do nothing. Just hope it snows more next year."

Are this the only choices you can think of? Why should we be limited to those choices?

How about stop leaks by lining ditches using pipes or concrete.
Or
Grow plants that need less water in dry months.
Or
Pay farmers to use less water so the river stays full.
Or
Use more recycled water.
Or.
Catch and store more rainwater.
Or
More desalination plants

And of course water conservation programs.

Doing a lot of nothing for too long is what got us here.
