Suppression of Opposition:
Forcible suppression of political opposition, often through imprisonment and murder of minority and opposition group leaders.
Social and Economic Control:
Strong regimentation of society and the economy, with the subordination of individual rights for the supposed benefit of the nation.
Identification of Scapegoats:
The identification of enemies or scapegoats to unite the population behind the ruler and a sense of victimhood.
Controlled Media:
Control of mass media to promote government narratives and undermine objective truth.
Rampant Sexism:
An ideology that is deeply and widely sexist.
Class Collaboration:
While suppressing labor, fascism protects corporate power, creating a partnership between the state and the ruling class.
Intertwined Religion and Government:
A strong connection between religion and the ruling elite, which serves to reinforce the ruling party's authority.
