Neither Obama or Biden governed like a third to half of the country were the enemy. That is indisputable. Both regularly used conciliatory and uniting language. Biden bent over backwards to invest in red states and red areas.

Trump objectively does not. He regularly demonizes anyone who disagrees with him, he is attacking blue areas, he is obviously intentionally trying to divide us.

You are objectively wrong to say Obama and Biden did not act like your president. You can disagree, even strongly with what they accomplished or attempted to accomplished, but they were enacting a vision that they viewed would benefit ALL Americans, again, like Biden sending the vast majority of CHIPS Act and Infrastructure investments to red areas. That is a fact. Trump does not do that, at all, in fact is actively attacking blue areas and moderate to left wing institutions. That also is a fact.

Please stop being pedantic about terminology, you know what I mean, Republicans have, for decades, been trying to use methods that disenfranchise whole swaths of people, yes Dems do it, but to a FAR less degree and certainly far less effectively. That does not make either right, but an actual reality to deal with.

Boaz, your recommendation is wholly impossible to implement. This is NOT the mid 19th century where political beliefs can generally be divided along regional lines. Yes conservatives are likely the majority in many states as are liberals in many states, but there are literally MILLIONS of conservatives in blue states and vice versa. You are advocating for essentially a permanent second class citizenship for millions of people. Either that or a disruption on a massive scale as millions of people flee from state to state. Simply a bad idea.

Fascist def:

"AI Overview

Fascism is a far-right, ultranationalist ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, forcible suppression of opposition, and a belief in a natural social hierarchy.

It emphasizes the subordination of individual interests for the nation or race, a centralized autocratic government, strong militarism, and the control of society and the economy.

Key traits include an obsession with national decline, the identification of scapegoats, rampant sexism, controlled media, and an intertwined relationship between religion and the ruling elite.

Here are the defining characteristics of fascism:"

www.google.com

Why do Fascists hate it when they are accurately ID'd as Fascists?

#782 | Posted by Corky at 2025-09-11 01:45 PM | Reply

Here are the defining characteristics of fascism:

Authoritarianism:
A single, infallible leader who is the focus of a powerful cult, often leading a centralized autocracy.

Ultralationalism:
A powerful, often exclusionary nationalism that views the nation as being in a state of decline, demanding national rebirth.

Militarism:
An emphasis on the supremacy of the military and a glorification of violence to achieve national goals.

Suppression of Opposition:
Forcible suppression of political opposition, often through imprisonment and murder of minority and opposition group leaders.

Social and Economic Control:
Strong regimentation of society and the economy, with the subordination of individual rights for the supposed benefit of the nation.

Identification of Scapegoats:
The identification of enemies or scapegoats to unite the population behind the ruler and a sense of victimhood.

Controlled Media:
Control of mass media to promote government narratives and undermine objective truth.

Rampant Sexism:
An ideology that is deeply and widely sexist.

Class Collaboration:
While suppressing labor, fascism protects corporate power, creating a partnership between the state and the ruling class.

Intertwined Religion and Government:
A strong connection between religion and the ruling elite, which serves to reinforce the ruling party's authority.

ANY of that sound familiar??

If it does, you should be proud to be supporting and or obfuscating for and or attacking the opposition to Fascism.

It was to make fun of yet another media outlet engaging in Obama worship.

#751 | Posted by BellRinger

Your recollection is awful as usual.

Ehrenstein's essay: In a 2007 Los Angeles Times op-ed titled "Obama the 'Magic Negro'," David Ehrenstein used the term to criticize white Americans' perception of Barack Obama. He suggested that Obama's broad appeal was tied to his presentation as a non-threatening Black figure, in the mold of actors like Sidney Poitier and Morgan Freeman, which allowed white audiences to feel good about themselves without confronting deep-seated racial issues.
Limbaugh's use: Rush Limbaugh adopted the title of Ehrenstein's op-ed to produce a parody song set to the tune of "Puff, the Magic Dragon". The song was written by Paul Shanklin and featured lyrics mocking white liberals for supporting Obama while shunning more confrontational Black activists like Al Sharpton.

Either way, it's racist garbage that built on another nonsense trope the right created.

I'll reiterate my opposition to this or any other political assassination, but the lionization of Charlie Kirk over the past 24 hours is laughable. He was no hero. He was a hateful loudmouth who insisted on having the last word.

Of leading black women, he once said they had only succeeded because of affirmative action. "You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person's slot to go be taken somewhat seriously."

He said America "made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s." Martin Luther King Jr. "was awful. He was not a good person."

When he saw Black people in an important job, he said, he would cringe. "If I see a black pilot, I'm going to be like, boy, I hope he's qualified!"

Charlie Kirk said, "We need armed militias to prevent the diminishing and decreasing of white demographics."

He called LGBTQ "a social contagion."

On empathy, Kirk said, "I can't stand empathy. I think empathy is a made-up New Age term, and it does a lot of damage."

But yeah, he was a great American. So let's give him sainthood.

You're fucking retarded and emblematic of what's wrong with America.

It's too bad America is filled with stupid people like you.

Violence and the left. It's not all of them, but it's always them.

One thing for sure is that no matter who, if anyone besides the shooter, is behind this. Nothing will change.

It won't stop what Kirk was doing. There are hundreds and hundreds of Kirk's trying to get where he was. They'll gladly step in and continue with the same message.

There is an audience for it.

Did you forget about the crazed Trumper who went door to door in Minnesota and killed/maimed Dem lawmakers?

Your memory rivals your intelligence.

Of course. Spreading fascist propganda is the easiest way for a talentless sociopath to get rich in america right now.

No one coming to your stand up comedy shows? Just start a podcast, blame the russian invasion on ukraine, say hillary was as bad as trump, and suddenly you're rich.

Has anybody been as successful as Kirk was at reaching out to the younger crowds with a conservative POV?

and pretty hardcore conservative stance to boot?

#826 | Posted by eberly at 2025-09-11 06:16 PM | Reply

How can the shooter be a Dem?

Dems are all a bunch of pushovers terrified of doing anything beyond putting a rainbow flag in the window.

This took just a touch more than that.

I was counting on Hitler as a response...but hoping for an American in the last 30 or so years....

Joe rogan. Failed actor, failing comedian, starts spewing russian propanda that helps fascists win elections, suddenly he's rich AF.

reaching out to the younger crowds

Younger men.

Younger men who blame their failure with women on 'the left' or need to justify the last time they downed an 18 pack and knocked the wife unconscious (she made me do it!).

But as it turns out, expecting the woman to behave like she's only on this Earth to silently answer your beck and call isn't the best long play with young women these days.

Fuckin lefties brainwashed them!

" All the democrats in office are condemning this attack"

And some of them then go on to say that Trump's rhetoric is the reason this happened.

Kirk was a die hard Tump supporter.

How many times did we hear in 2024 that if Dems lost the election it was the end of Democracy in this country? Trump is Hitler. ALL of his voters are Nazi's. That kind of content over the top rhetoric is what drives crazy people to do crazy things. The only reason I'm pointing my finger is because every time a shooting occurs Dems and the left immediately blame Republicans and conservatives for it. Now you get to play by your own rules.

This is stall a fact.

The Trump administration has destroyed the federal government.

He's attacking democratic cities and politicians.

He's attacking corporations, news outlets, and journalists who have ever spoken out against him.

He's attacking civil rights and state rights.

The legislative branch and judicial branch have abdicated their responsibilities and handed their power over to the executive branch.

We're all still stuck playing by your rules, idiot.

Fact is, this shooting was carried out by someone loyal to Trump.

Republicans are violent by nature.

So you're blaming Democrats because you get blamed for all the shootings?
And you actually are wondering why?
You think that's undeserved?
So you feel justified in blaming Democrats even though you told us the "only reason" was they blamed Republicans?
Logically that means you know the Democrats aren't to blame at all.

Boaz's mouth writing checks his butt can't cash. He makes bold claims against Biden and Obama inciting violence and calls me "stupid" for not using Google to go try digging for said incidences of incitation. It's because they don't exist.
Boaz is a great example of the right and how Trump got elected. Facts and truth do not matter. It is only hatred for the "other" that matters, and love for the cult leader that matters above all else, even when he's clearly a traitor to the country, a pedo, and a rapist
