"No Kings" rally mostly consisted of white Karens
Observers noted that the "No Kings" rally drew a predominantly white, middle-aged, and college-educated female crowd, reflecting a particular demographic rather than a broad cross-section of the public.

Lamp,
"57% is hardly "predominately."
It's as close as saying most college educated are dems.
For decades, the belief was college is the only path to success.
Now with outrageous tuition and student loans hanging like an anchor for years, people are considering alternatives.
Trade schools, apprenticeships, and certifications are booming because they lead directly to jobs that actually exist and often pay better than white-collar starter positions.
Electricians, welders, HVAC techs, and machinists are in demand.
Universities that are liberal echo chambers, have taught liberal thought for decades, as the only "truth".
More people pursuing alternative routes will change all that.

I was pointing out that the rally wasn't as cross-demographic as Democrats are pretending it was.

Those jobs have always been in demand. Most people avoid the trades, like both of us did, because it's hard work, it takes years off your life, you're constantly exposed to toxic environments and low class people who steal tools, and if your tools get stolen you're ------.
I work office jobs. It's not physically demanding, the work environment is pleasant, and nobody steals. And I make more money than most people employed in the trades. I think it's like that for you too, unless you're retired now.

While that ham-fisted attempt at humor does somewhat betray your misogyny, it doesn't really work as a joke. If women are wearing the pants, they'd tell their cuck husbands to go out there and do their protesting for them.

It's always funny to me when Nazi Pedo Rape Supporters talk about Jesus and wholesome family environments.
So Bill, who would Jesus rape?
Its especially funny when BillJohnson does it because about 25% of his party would like to see him dead even if he doesn't pursue male relationships anymore and they cite the Bible and creating wholesome family environments to do it.

@#98 ... I don't mix religion and politics. ...
Oh please.
You may not have the self-realization that your comments seem to indicate otherwise.
From what I see, current Christianity in the United Stated is intensely mixed in politics. That mixture started with the so-called Moral Majority of the 1980's. And has progressed since then.
Moral Majority www.britannica.com
... Moral Majority, American political organization that was founded in 1979 by Jerry Falwell, a religious leader and televangelist, to advance conservative social values. Although it disbanded in 1989, the Moral Majority helped to establish the religious right as a force in American politics. The Moral Majority was formed in response to the social and cultural transformations that occurred in the United States in the 1960s and '70s. Christian fundamentalists were alarmed by a number of developments that, in their view, threatened to undermine the country's traditional moral values. These included the civil rights movement, the women's movement, the gay rights movement, the relatively permissive sexual morality prevalent among young people, and the teaching of evolution. ...

Don't get me started on the Moral Majority.
Jerry Falwell and Ronald Reagan supported each other for mutual benefit.
Falwell delivered the evangelical vote and Falwell became part of the DC crowd.
It was a power exchange wrapped in scripture. Falwell got influence. Reagan got votes.

Sometimes you just have to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Liberals need to pick their causes a little smarter.
I voted for Trump so he'd nominate the 3 upcoming justices.
I fully intended on wanting to prevent transgender "rights" in women's private space where they undress.
That's where things were headed politically and socially.
It's still being fought, but it's a lost cause for liberals now, thankfully.

So, let's consider the score card so far
RvW gone-there are 196 million women in America Gay marriage threatened-approximately million gay people in America
Trans people-approximately 2.8 million trans people in America Trans women-approximately 700,000
So, for a very very very small fraction of incidents (trans women in women's lockerrooms(?) cause bathrooms have stalls, so that is not an issue) to destroy women's lives and soon gay people's lives

The real issue is how little respect liberals actually have for women and how little respect some women have for themselves.
They dress abortion up as "empowerment", but there's nothing empowering about ending a life that depends on you.
That isn't compassion. It's convenience.
If women truly respected themselves, they'd respect the power that comes with creating life and not treat abortion as an easy fix for bad choices.

A woman can't decide any random baby gets to live or die, BillJohnson.
It's limited to the one living inside her.
If you believe you have the right to control your own body, you should have no problem with her deciding she doesn't want a child.
But you don't believe women have a right to control their own body. Not when they're in possession of a man's property.
You think the man has rights over the woman becausw she bears his fruit.

... It's been a long road Getting from there to here It's been a long time But my time is finally near And I can feel the change in the wind right now Nothing's in my way And they're not gonna hold me down no more No they're not gonna hold me down 'Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm going where my heart will take me I've got faith to believe, I can do anything I've got strength of the soul And no one's gonna bend or break me I can reach any star, I've got faith I've got faith, faith of the heart It's been a long night Trying to find my way Through the darkness And now I finally have my day But I will see my dream come alive at last I will touch the sky And they're not gonna hold me down no more No they're not gonna hold me down 'Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm going where my heart will take me I've got faith to believe, I can do anything ...
And I can feel the change in the wind right now Nothing's in my way And they're not gonna hold me down no more No they're not gonna hold me down
'Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm going where my heart will take me I've got faith to believe, I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul And no one's gonna bend or break me I can reach any star, I've got faith I've got faith, faith of the heart
It's been a long night Trying to find my way Through the darkness And now I finally have my day
But I will see my dream come alive at last I will touch the sky And they're not gonna hold me down no more No they're not gonna hold me down
'Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm going where my heart will take me I've got faith to believe, I can do anything ...
Interesting in that it seems to be the first show of the Star Trek series where the theme song has actual lyrics.

It's the premise of the thread. That white Karen's showed up and that's it.
It's not my argument.
But nobody is questioning it. Apparently the No Kings rally wasn't represented by the usual factions of the left one would expect.

"But nobody is questioning it."
Sure. It was all racist white women who call ICE on brown people who marched.

Good catch..

Bill, men are having abortions, too. Planned Parenthood testified before Congress that men can get pregnant.
So, abortion is no longer a woman's only issue.
Men and women are responsible for all abortions. They can choose to have them. Both can get pregnant. Both can end it.
Abortion is not a women's only issue.

"The usual, aggressive horny men are OK, the problem is with the women."
"No, but they throw as much money and trinkets as they can get their hands on to--------."
You both posted something showing you believe, how did I put it earlier, "you're accusing women of being weak and easily manipulated."
I didn't say the "problem" was with women.
What I said earlier was the "ultimate responsibility" is on women to not get pregnant.
"Throwing money" at her doesn't take away her responsibility.
At the same time, men should be more responsible and acknowledge their obligation if she does get pregnant.

So much MAGA BS. So little time.
A demonstrator named Tony Cropper, who is Black, traveled from Tennessee to attend a protest in Jackson. He noted the emotional significance of seeing a multiracial crowd, saying, "to see so many folks out here that aren't black or brown fighting for the same causes that I'm here for, it makes me very emotional".

Why is that? #170 | POSTED BY EBERLY
Because saying Soros funded the No Kings protests doesn't cause the same emotional outrage from Trumpers as it once did. Especially after Elon Musk openly bribed people to vote for Trump and the Judge in Wisconsin.
So the GOP propaganda machine went after what still does enrage Trumpers, women.
Tell me how 57% of the protesters being women diminishes the protests.
In my opinion, it doesn't.
But I'm not a misogynist Deplorable Trumping MAGAt.

That's what I thought. I wasn't totally sure but it's in the neighborhood of where I was going with it.
Make the protestors a demographic the right doesn't care for.
Karens.

Reason 768 the Left lost the last election and as much a train wreck as Trump is will lose the next one too.
If you think that Bill Maher isn't channeling the overwhelming majority of moderate Americans, you are absolutely insane.

Why isn't the responsibility of rapists not to rape?

There's been a lot of MAGA energy devoted to discrediting the No Kings movement.
It must terrify them.

It's not about making the protestors a demographic the right doesn't car for. It's pointing out that if the demographic of your protest is all older white women(calling them Karens was unfair) then your protest might not have the meaning you want to attribute to it. It's a debatable point that just because they were all older white women they shouldn't be dismissed. Discussing if it's a relevant though if large amounts of younger voters weren't attracted to the protest is certainly relevant though.
