We encouraged our son when a child to at least give what was on his plate a try. Like it? Fine. Don't? That's okay, too; no big deal, no freaking out. So when confronted with something new he would give it a go, then might quietly move along after calmly explaining: "Not my favorite." It's now a family-wide, laughing explanation.

Yes, we did the same thing, as did our parents. Due to that tradition, there are only two things I refuse to eat ... lima beans and liver.

My spouse and I were lucky we both had mothers that were good cooks. Our children benefitted by having Italian and French cuisine influences. Breakfast crepes were the norm on Sunday mornings. Tourtierre at Christmas. And you can never go wrong with a huge pot of sauce loaded with chicken legs, meatballs and spicy Italian sausage.

My wife & I were at a pub with the Swedish Club of Houston watching the Sweden vs Japan game yesterday evening.

The tourists have valid tourist visas with plenty of time left on them. ICE isn't an issue. Bigger problem trying to take big ranch bottles past the TSA.

I'd wager most people don't think about ICE, ever, unless they see it in front of them. Sister in law was a Trumper until she saw a lawn crew rounded up in front of her in Missouri of all places. Changed her line of thinking quick.

I've never actually seen an ice agent in person. And I live in a city with a taco truck on every corner. I can go to almost any home Depot and whistle, day laborers jump in the back of the truck.

We do have Norwegians coming to the US. There is a mixed Dutch/Norwegian F-35 squadron at Luke Air Force Base in AZ. There is a Finnish F-35 squadron in Little Rock, Arkansas.

You'd be surprised how many Norwegian fighter pilots have US passports. A lot of them are legacy. Their dads were pilots, and so they spent a lot of their youth in Tucson.

One of the Norwegian pilots I work with grew up almost entirely in the US. His dad was a USAF F-15 pilot. Mom was a Viking.

In Norway, it's 25%. The cheapest beer I've seen at a Restaurant is 10 EUR.

I went to go buy a small notebook at a stationary shop when I was there last month. It was 22 EUR.
