Is it a war, a conflict between two sides, or is it a murderous assault on a country by Israel and the US, the start of which involved the murder of most of Iran's leadership? Calling it a war gives Trump too much credit for sucking up to Netanyahu and those who wanted to pretend Iran had nuclear aspirations, all the while both the US and Israel have thousands of such weapons of mass destruction aimed straight at Iran.

As we head to the polls for the midterms, Trump will do everything he can to drum up loud and crazy chaos to try and entice his MAGA gang to vote Red.

Ah, but the House is now not in session until after the midterms...and one truly mistrusts Patel's FBI to do the right thing, if there is any chance it will threaten his boss.

As far as war criminals go, ours are some of the best. Ordering our troops to kill criminal suspects on the high seas, extrajudicial killing of suspects is murder in every jurisdiction in America. And then, America under Trump and Hegseth and, of course, Netanyahu, murdered over 40 Iranian leaders who were meeting at the insistence of Israel and America to start crafting a new "Peace Agreement".
And so many more crimes...but it has shown us that there is no such thing as the rule of law in international matters.

Ah, but the perpetual war is for the consumption of Americans so the billionaires can take more and more power, so what are a few dead military members or destroyed aircraft when compared to the power that Netanyahu and Trump/Hegseth and Putin have.

Modern day fascism is the rise into power of the billionaire oligarchy, who, world wide, own governments like America's or are in step with dictators like Putin. The permanent rule of the oligarchs using violence, stupid foreign wars to control the people, and above all, propaganda from their tame media outlets...that is what the entire world must fight, or democracy will be a pretend thing, as it is already in Russia.

There was a time when Ukrainians, by and large, simply refused to believe that their friendly neighbor, led by Putin, would ever attack them. But the American leaders warned them time and again that Putin was gearing up for a short war.
And now, there are those who think Putin would never try to take back one of the other nations who were freed when the Soviet Empire fell....
And we, America, are led by someone who seems truly to be a Quisling, a Putin tool.

The best of us...

I do wonder if Trump will be successful in weakening NATO enough that it dissolves...and then the EU will be the only alliance that countries like Canada, and unfortunately, the UK, can depend upon.

Loyal to the fascist in the White House to the last...one hopes...that one day fairly soon we have leaders of our country and its departments who are loyal to the American people, not to the Trump gang.

America used to be the world's finest example of a land working to be free from racism and then it took a hard turn to the fascist, with a bully like Musk able to put Trump back into the White House and the billionaires taking from the poor and giving...to themselves, in bankrupting tax cuts.
China today is in no way a democracy, a Constitutional Republic, and I fear my country, America, is heading the same way.

And Europe, the EU, should always remember that just before Russia attacked Ukraine, even the Ukrainians didn't believe he would attack a friendly neighbor.

So, is this all coming from Trump's grifting part of his brain, or from his cognitive decline part, with Trump it is hard to tell. Trump acts like he or his family is invested in Ai in a major way.

And now we have one more reason to make sure to show up and vote during the midterm elections...if the Republican Party keeps both Houses of Congress, they can push this through and take their time about it.
I do hope Alito resigns fairly soon, he is a disgrace to Yale Law School, who seemed to have taught him that the Constitution is a suggestion, not the primary authority.

Give it a rest, cutthroat capitalism didnt' slow down when it exported tens of millions of jobs to Mexico or China, and AI will be rushed out to the factory floor to replace workers, it will be replacing cab drivers and teachers and...the rich will get richer and the poor will get propaganda and what CBS news has turned into.

One sees all this and one hopes against hope that the Dems take back both Houses of Congress, and so finally present the Trump debacle in all its greed and con games in investigation after impeachment.

If Putin were at his shoulder giving him instructions as to how to destroy this America, Trump is daily dividing us one from another and America from its vitally important allies.

So wish I could disagree...but yeah, we have been badly led for many years by those who were, who are, in thrall to the big money boys, as in oil, as in the big banks, and like all Empires, like the Soviet Union, we are falling, out of control, as the oligarch billionaires loot the treasury. That was all Musk was doing, is doing.
Damn the Republican Party to hell....

I grew up in a home where mom was a suicidal alcoholic, and every year or so would attempt suicide in a more and more effective way, until one day she "succeeded". We heard a lot of "speeches from Jonestown" until she just kept to herself...and that is when Trump will be his most dangerous, when he shuts up and puts his thick thumbs, in effect, on the "button".
Not her fault, her early life was unbearable...broken hearts lead broken lives.

About time for the "Music Man" con man to make up an excuse and head for the hills, his awarding of great wealth to his rich cronies is now going to be paid for by we the poor and the powerless, who yes, vote.
I am thinking Vance is President in three months, or Rubio, who I would imagine the Republican Party would rather see in the White House.

Well, they killed tens of thousands when they did away with USAID, so of course they really don't care about a few Americans who get sick in a way that they disapprove of.

The Flock employee was worried that he would be on video and identified? Ya think irony is still alive in this time of Trump? My constitution gives me protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, and gives me privacy rights, but of course, my constitution also has that emoluments prohibition...

Trump doesn't care if he bankrupts America, as in Russia, such an action only lets the billionaire oligarch caste rule as gods...they destroyed the Russian media, as is happening here.

Our public school system is at the core of our democracy, and it must be protected at all costs, and certainly public does not mean private, it doesn't mean subsidizing a school that is religious based and has as its base an established religion.

Too late to save all those jobs that are going to robots and AI software...and as far as those who argue that LLMs are not a danger...I am reminded that only a couple of years ago that was what everyone was saying...not to fear, and now...software can do the job of a teacher and cab driver and lawyer and many doctors...
I fear corporate America far more than I do AI, that is for sure.
