Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, August 13, 2024

As Donald Trump and Elon Musk's discussion got underway Monday night on X, the former president's voice raised immediate questions among listeners, many of whom said they thought it sounded like he was speaking with a distinct lisp.

I noticed that!!

Did he have a lisp before? At first it was a slur. Everyone knew he had a slur. He was proud of his slur.

Then suddenly he just BECAME a Lisp.

Unusual slurred speech and lisping are real undeniable manifestations of a stroke. It is in line for an obsese low energy 78 year old with a poor diet not in good health. Perhaps the reason he is taking time off campaigning to medically recover.

Trump Campaign's Rude Response To Question About His Speech

It remains unclear exactly why Trump speech appeared so slurred at times during his live interview with Elon Musk. When asked about it, a Trump campaign spokesperson provided HuffPost's S.V. Date the following response:

"Must be your ------ hearing. Get your ears checked out."

Are you serious?

Okay, let's see.....

Through anonymous campaign surrogates, she has done a 180 on the following:

Defund the police
Decriminalize illegal entry
Ban fracking
Ban off-shore drilling
Ban private health insurance
Abolish ICE and start over
Federal jobs guarantee program....this is an incomplete list

I can see evolving on an issue or maybe two but her campaign has essentially gutted everything she ran on in 2020 and it's incumbent on her to go in front of the public and explain WHY. And it needs to be done via a presser (or 3) and at least one interview with someone who isn't one of her countless cheerleaders - Brett Baier, perhaps.

Also, she needs to articulate her policy planks. All I've seen so far is her plagiarizing Trump's no tax on service tips.

Voters DESERVE nothing less and actually deserve a lot more. It blows my mind that you appear to think that my belief that she should be doing some interviews and pressers and be forced to be asked tough questions with follow-ups that pin her down is off-the-wall or radical or unfair or whatever it is you are taking umbrage with on this.

#29 | Posted by LegallyYourDead at 2024-08-14 12:14 AM | Reply

"Are you serious?!"

HAHAH! JFC dude, sit down and swallow some context:

The claim that Kamala Harris has reversed her positions on several key issues from her 2020 campaign is partially supported by the search results. Harris has indeed adjusted her stance on some progressive policies, which may be perceived as shifts or reversals:

Fracking: Harris has distanced herself from her previous opposition to fracking.

Single-Payer Healthcare: She has moved away from advocating a single-payer healthcare system.

However, the search results do not specifically address changes in her positions on "Defund the police," "Decriminalize illegal entry," "Ban off-shore drilling," "Ban private health insurance," "Abolish ICE and start over," or a "Federal jobs guarantee program."

Harris is currently focusing on economic policies, such as tackling inflation, lowering costs for middle-class families, and eliminating taxes on tips for service workers, which she announced in recent speeches. These policy announcements indicate a focus on pragmatic solutions, aiming to appeal to a broader voter base.

While Harris is recalibrating her policy approach as she campaigns for the presidency, the extent to which she has reversed her positions on all the issues listed in the query is not fully detailed in the search results.

Harris has NOT personally come out and articulated ANYTHING you just spouted off. It's been done through anonymous campaign surrogates and has been just vague enough that her campaign seems to think she can pretend to be all things to everyone. Given our Pravda media, her campaign has every reason to believe so.

I want to hear it from HER. I want KAMALA HARRIS - not anonymous staffers through leaks and letters to friendly outlets - to articulate her policy planks and to do so in an environment where clarifying questions and tough questions are asked. She's not running for king of the lemonade stand.

If she's so awesome, why are she and her VP choice being kept hidden from any kind of meaningful scrutiny.

Ah! But Trump!!!!!

Well, let's see, he DID go on the National Association of Black Journalists conference. Harris was also offered an invitation and she declined. Trump recently held a press conference that lasted over an hour. Vance has answered all sorts of questions and went on 3 Sunday shows just a couple of days ago. ALL of these venues were openly hostile.

On top of all of that, Trump does an unscripted, hours-long talk with Musk and that's somehow a bad thing?

I haven't seen any reporting on specific policy proposals set forth by Harris outside of her adopting Trump's proposal regarding not taxing tips.

I am not going to make the time to sit through an hour+ long rally for policy planks. It's a rah-rah venue with zero pushback, questioning, clarifications, etc. Further, this is supposedly why we have the 4th estate. These people take the time to sit through all of it. They take notes and then factually report what they witnessed and maybe even question members of the crowd regarding their takeaways. Not so much any more, but it's how the press used to operate.

Now, I would love to see Kamala do 2 hours on X answering actual questions like Trump just did. But, the reality is that Kamala can't even be trusted to speak for 1 minute in front of the MSM despite them being 100% in the bag for her. Truly, how much of a moron must Kamala be for her handlers to shut down any and all interviews? Clearly, they think she is dumber than broken brain Joe Biden as they let him talk when he was the candidate. This is truly unprecedented. Lucky for the Dems, they are the party of low information voters, which equals identity politics which is much easier to push than actually explaining policies.

PALM BEACH: After his account of being in a near-fatal helicopter crash was called into question, on Wednesday Donald J. Trump revealed that he had confused the crash with his 2024 presidential campaign.

"We were in a tailspin and we were going down fast," he told reporters. "It wasn't a helicopter, though, it was what is happening right now."

Trump also clarified that the person he recalled badmouthing Kamala Harris was not the former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, but himself.

"I thought it was Willie Brown when it was actually me," he said. "I don't know how I mixed myself up with Willie. I didn't suddenly turn Black."

In yet another example of his confusion, he said he thought that a recently unearthed photo of JD Vance in drag was his second wife Marla Maples.

-A lack of answers is not a good thing in an attempted assassination. It creates conspiracies.

You mean conspiracy theories.....not actual conspiracies which exist or not. Nobody creates them after the fact.

But loonies like you and Zed who are obsessed with such absurdities create conspiracy theories every day.

Of course that's what we mean. But---

A) There's still no medical report

B) Nothing happened that couldn't have been a magic trick.

C) Donald Trump is a stone cold sociopath who will do ANYTHING.

"anything" doesn't include having that kid fire a gun at him.

You really don't know what a sociopath is.

My advice? Start thinking Charlie Manson when you look at Trump.

" I would love to see Kamala do 2 hours on X answering actual questions"

Sorry, but LYING does NOT equal "answering" actual questions; "Deceptively deflecting" is more accurate.

"He has made the 9/10 debate conditional upon 2 others."

Guess what, idiot? He doesn't get to arbitrarily make up conditions that were never agreed to.

Did he have a lisp before? At first it was a slur. Everyone knew he had a slur. He was proud of his slur.

Then suddenly he just BECAME a Lisp.

Now we know what happened when he raised his shoe lifts another 1/2" so he could get lost in JV's eye-lined baby blues.

Trump is old. He is ancient. His dentures were acting up again here. Trump is in some sort of delusional bubble, as usual. Bootlickers telling him he is winning while he spirals daily. This guy will suffer a punishing defeat in November. He can not speak in full sentences, his ideas are antique, his attacks on unions is deplorable and he has zero plans for anything. HIs plan is to spew hate and lies to divide us, that's about it. He should be in prison but one thing is certain. He has no chance to win in November. Anyone who thinks he does is inside that same bubble and not paying attention to the real patriots of this country who will bring a new era of leadership to the USA. That new leadership will never be Trump. I am so happy he insisted on being the nominee as his continued decline going to be so much fun to watch.

Give her a person to talk with who has professed their support for her candidacy (as Mr Musk has done for fmr Pres Trump) and who is also donating $45 million a month to her campaign (as Mr Musk has said his PAC will do for fmr Pres Trump).

Does it escape that if he conspired to stage an assassination attempt then the co-conspirators include...

the Secret Service
The FBI
Local Law enforcement

The head of the secret service just resigned in disgrace because she was not even aware of anything wrong in her agency. And they still have not adequately explained their actions in that day.

The FBI was not involved and is still trying to unravel the plot.

The local law enforcement was completely out of the loop and could not even communicate with the secret service.

And the ear...don't forget the ear. It's not damaged enough.

Has it occurred to you that Trump's ear was barely scratched (by whatever that hit it) and he embellished the magnitude of the injury for the obvious reasons?

And the rest of what happened, including the Secret Service (which reports to Joe Biden - NOT Donald Trump) was just incompetence that allowed that to happen?

Nope....stick with the ear and the rest of the "plot"...and fill in the unanswered questions with whatever floats your boat. You and Zed crack me up

You think you are so good at trolling but can't even recognize when you are being trolled.

Trumpy and republicans have tossing out conspiracy theories like spaghetti forcing Dems to refute every one ad nauseam and now we get to have fun with ONE and you trolls lose your freakin minds over it.

And I'm loving it.

adverb
referring to something that has been done or repeated so often that it has become annoying or tiresome.

so you admit you're so bothered by Trump you're "forced to refute every one"?

Wow.....you're NOT loving that.

Stop lying. Even though the truth gets you into trouble....lying is not a good alternative.

I suspect that phone conversation with Musk was just another way for Trump to hold a "rally" without leaving Mar-a-Lago.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Sounded like grandpa forgot to put his choppers in. I heard a doctor say that due to his years of cocaine and Adderall abuse, that Dotard has a hole in his soft palate and wears an appliance to seal it. Without the appliance this is what he would sound like.
