Did the full time college thing for 3 years until a teacher at work approached me about their other employer having some weird system issues. They offered me a deal. Pay me real good for 6 months to figure things out.

So I did.

Gave me time to find other work and fixed their problems.

The for-profit college I taught accounting in the evenings and kept their computers running decided to create an IT degree program. They asked me to do it.

At that time, there was only 1 Vue testing center for Microsoft certifications in the area. I turned the college into a Vue testing center. All exams were proctored.

The first graduating class had 2 guys who completed their MCSE. They were "paper MCSE's" as the old saying goes, but they had the knowledge and hands on skills working at the college. That was years ago. They did manage to build respectable IT support careers, got married and raised families.

I was teaching Active Directory, Windows OS and other stuff.

I found teaching to be the most rewarding part of my career and really time consuming.

Always either getting ready for a class, teaching a class, or talking to students after class or grading their work.

And I filled in for Excel if I had to.

That was a pointless video. I watched 3-5 seconds of the opening and it was another waste of time video.

What a kooky vain society we've become people who live in front of cameras because they like looking at and hearing themselves.

If it was truly educational, that's one thing. But a video that starts out where I can pretty well guess he's mocking people and I have no time for that.

That's why I rarely click on anything from Corky. It's usually asinine and geared towards simple minded people. I have ideas what he might have said and don't care to know for sure.

What I AM very glad about is Obama being directly involved in gays being able to openly serve in the Armed Forces. That's almost unbelievable when I think back picturing how we had to be careful. You might get the word out to some other gays you know in the military maybe we're meeting someplace for drinks on the base or someone's place. I remember there was a ship's store that was run by a young gay guy. After hours we would go there and lock the door and basically just talk.

Obama got rid of DADT.

I was in even prior to that. Simply no gays allowed. Obviously, everyone lied when they joined.
